I just noticed something.
HauiWei was not commenting based on the threads progression.
He was merely commenting on other threads issues not related here to this thread.
If you want to cross threads, pls at least quote the right issues and do so in the right threads Huai Wei.....you confused me. And I thought it was only females that likes to mesh things up so as to get better leverages at winning any arguements. -
It does not serve to do VSC credit when any VSC officer are unable to be objective enough to break down any scenerios and assign the right answers accordingly.
My Condolences that you still have not acquired that skill Huai Wei. -
As VSC officers. We are not generally treated with much respect or considered important then the actual ground officers.
With any luck. VSCs gets to piggy back on the regular's rights to equipment.
Including working saber sets, equipment bags and equipments.
Since most items will not be distributed freely to VSC officers.
Certain items can be purchased if you are willing to afford them.
Do contribute your idea what would be useful for patrols and plain clothes duties. -

I offend those that only deserves to be offended and those that choose to be offended.
And I will not back off from that. Its what my intergrity is about. If you cannot manage it or deal with it face on. Then dont come announcing to the rest of the world what you cannot do.
And for that matter. I still have other issues I've raised up. See if you can answer those issues instead of just pretending that your whole world revolves about my 'childishness'.

VSC does have its own forum.
Its down at the moment.
But it has never escaped anyone's notice that no one has really posted in that forum.
For the simple reason that your nickname is your real name.
Go figures.

For the newly minted officers.
Do take note:
Make copies of your Warrant Card & Arm card.
Both cards contains serial numbers you will never be borthered to remember. But in the event of loss, these number will turn up crucial.
Make copies of your Security Pass, Driving Permits, Licences and your NRIC. They serve a record purpose which you can refer to whenever its needed.
Those integrated into the Arms System. Your NRIC number is the key and its not barcoded on your arm card. So what you can do is to use the barcode of your copied NRIC, paste it on your arm card for easier scanning. -
Its coming to the end of a calendar year.
VSC officers are allowed a set of new uniforms a year.
Do be reminded to exchange any torn uniform and accessories with your Division LO.
Ladies & senior officers will require tailoring. Do drop by to the tailors, have yourself measured and inform the LO the reference numbers so the LO can order the tailors to start work and complete your new uniform.
Also on the end of any calendar year, officers are required to resubmit their new attachment forms early.
ie, if you are from HQ, TRACOM or specialised units which can be attached to normal land division.
All attachments are valid for only 1 calendar year. So this would be the right time to fill in the forms, chase your heads for approval, have it submited to HQ and have it published in the Force Orders in time for the New Year Holidays.
Take note, if your attachment is not approved. Its nothing personal. It just meant that either the units you are planning to attached to is full or is currently under re-structuring. -
Also.
Officers that will be contributing on New Year's Day, Chinese New Years, Hari Rayas & Deepavali.
Do inform the LO and regulars early so they can release their officers for the holidays.
And kindly, do not suddenly MIA on those days that you say you will volunteer. -
It is also now the monsoon season.
VSC officers may not have lockers in their respective divisions. So do bring along extra sets of uniforms in your car or your bags when you intend to do duties.
Bring along at least a towel, spare undies, socks & shoes. We do not wish for patrolling officers to catch colds & other diseases from the rain.
Errrr........wet underwears and socks is ultra uncomfortable especially when your uniform dried on the outside but you are still wet on the inside. And it dont look nice when members of public is staring at your butt becos your undies create a darker colour against your dried uniform.
Also, pick up a 3M ScotchGuard water proofing spray and starts spraying on top of your polished boots, peak caps & jackets (If you have those). It can save you drying time where water would not be totally soaked thru your belongings.
And do take more vitamin C. -

Since no one will willingly ask or learn.
But still, here are information for those that actually does know how to read the forum.
Always count your cash before your duties and has it witnessed by other officers how much you have. Especially if you are carrying large wads of it due to your normal work nature or
what your wiffey allows you to carry.
Keep your jewellery & rolexes at home. If lost, if broken during a struggle. These are not claimable.
Avoid carrying a fat wallet. Just bring along some cash, your ATM card & a EZ link Card.
(Cash for makan or drinks should you want to be generous and share your foods; ATM card for when you didnt have enough cash; EZ link card is for when you got lost & wants to take a public transport back to your station.)
Always keep with you, a spare black pen besides your normal Red & blue/black pen. And lots of wads of recycle paper/notepads.
Or like me, if you want to. Buy those blank name cards. They are extremely useful cos they are colored.
When times you need to collect the names, NRIC and contact numbers of subjects, you can distribute those, make them write it down and collect them back and fill up the log sheets later.
On days when you are attending to one case straight after another. It helps tat your cases/details are color coded and you can sort out and filled up the logsheet later. -

let's not let this forum become such a bitter space and become so sour and heaty lah.
words are words, they can easily be mistaken, let's all be objective, or at least try...what one's had posted may not have been interpreted as what it actually meant, ain't the golden rule suppose to apply, if not sure, ask? simple and politely will be best... afterall, this is just an Open forum, a space in the Internet, anyone at best is just an element in that space.
In life, am sure everyone will have their own preferences, views and objectives, judging whether it's right or wrong, well, it could be very subjective. If it's not to anyone's liking, everyone could always make clear their stand, and need not try heating up, till anyone think someone had win. IMHO, sometime moving away with minimum damage is best.
no one wake up to do a bad job, so it doesn't matter which organization one serve, I sincerly believe all had a part to play, why linger on who's contributing more or less? why linger on who got more respect or not? a choice is a choice, we chose to be there, and of course we could choose to leave. I would expect no one is in-expandable, if not, how could any organisations survive, should someone decide to throw in the towel and leave, or perhaps become unavailable one day?

The worst season to be doing duties. Where folks are out to make merry and officers are seen as dampers to the merry making.
Drink driving, pretty girls & families ( Feuding ones are the worst!) together, coupled with the Monsoon season will be keeping everyone really busy.
Do check your equipments, vehicles and schedules before your duties.
VSC officers on duties. Please get enough rest. Fatigue from your daily responsibilities ramming into your V duties will endanger your fellow patrol mates in ways you can never expect.
.........btw, does anyone ever noticed? whenever there is pretty girls, there will be fights and lots of 'macho happenings'? -
And please hor......
If you guys/gals tells your spouses/partners/parents/bozzes that you are doing duties, when you are not. Please at least try to warn your fellow VSC officers, especially the deployment VSC.
Its difficult for such officers taking such calls from spouses/parents/partners/bozzes. -
Officers who moved house, change names, got married, change bank account, change phone numbers, change sex, have kids, developed strange dieseases.
Please make fresh paper copies of such changes and submit to your MPO/LO for filing and update their records.
VSC is not yet fully automated where the atoms in the air can read your mind and update your changes in the records. -
