VSC pay is few dollars per hour one rite.....by e way wats the normal job scope of VSC.....got go patrol or not...

I heard that for snr officers must clock about 30 hrs per mth.... that is like 4 work days per mth.... if I work 5 days a week.... that means I will do vsc duties on weekends????

I believe this forum has a few VSC... It not a bad but the commitment has to be there and i think the vsc's are treated much better than the NSF's.... Whaha.... usually its more on volunteer work compared to $$ ba! Its the passion to be a po but cannot some say.... =)

not sure are they going to HTA for training as it takes about 6mths to be full pledge officers!!! =) -

But PES E guys can also contribute to VSC by doing non-patrol duties. But SPF only want PES A/B for VSC

Yeah why not. i have a question here.
Scenario 1:
for example, i had completed my NS and decided to continue my studies in a local university. i went on to become a VSC during my university.
can i become a full-time police officer after graduating? (I'm still a VSC)

Just to clarify some questions and answers given:
1. PES C and below will no longer be recruited into VSC.
2. Whether poly or even ITE students, as long as lady is above 18 and gentleman is after NS, they can join VSC.
3. VSC is given an allowance of $2.80 an hour.
4. Police officer need to clock 16 hours a month and Senior Officers need to clock 24 hours a month.
5. Yes, we do anti-crime round, normal proactive patrol, plainclothes operations, security coverage etc.

No, you cant be a VSC if you join the regular. Saw something very interesting. It seems that they have removed the section on PES Status.
And in the application form, they didn't ask about your PES Status either.
Have they changed the rules? I do remember that VSC wannabes go through a physical medical examination. Maybe that will be used in lieu of the PES Status.
Any comments?

To address the question, well, if you want to be a regular after graduation, you have to apply to be one, just like any other fella out there. Of coz if you get accepted, you wont be a VSC anymore... -
And yes.
If you are selected to become a Police Regular, you are required to resigned as a VSC before you begin the normal Police Training. -

Even if you are PES A, you dont pass the IPPT, you can forget about passing the course and be a full fledge VSC.
However......the IPPT for VSC Trainees is very lax.

If you failed the physical medical examination, you would not be accepted for VSC Basic Training Course. -
