I guess by now most of their recruits for JOs are Poly grads rather than O levels
though thier timing could be a bit ealier ...

i just feel they are too stringent on their selection...My friend ot 2nd upper honours, his application is rejected because he haf colourblind.

Cos they have many applicants to choose from and very few vacancies.

Anyway just as an aside, it seems that the job market is quite soft nowadays (just see the thickness of the appointments section of saturday's newspaper as an indication) so I would expect more applicants for government jobs.

guys,my friend applied for PO in dec last year but was rejected from the 2nd interview..probably cos his results quite poor(he repeat for 1 year in poly). recently,he recieve a letter from the police asking him to join cos he just graduate in may..i tot must wait for 1 more year after rejection to apply again? any chances that he can apply for PO?

I dont know about this being "stringent", when it is refering to a basic physical requirement. The same rule applies to all police applicants irregardless of rank. colourblind how to join sia... just like why my friend with one leg cannot join the force... or why my friend with criminal records cannot join, he kenna arrest before many times.. know the bail bond process very well already...
