Its not really directly opposite Tengah Air Base.... few hundreds meter away though....
its actually Between Jalan Piring and track 14 of Choa Chu Kang Road nearer to the KJE side....

No, after the bend and stretch all the way to somewhere near Tengah Air Base... there is one Army building adjacent to it, but did not take notice of it when i pass by that time....
Only know that its a new building just opposite Tengah Air Base gate...
should be some logs dept... -

Police Academy will be moving year end... Will start on January so the lucky batch will start training there... The road name is called Jalan Bahar if you go pass u can see a cemetry & a fish farm.... Its along the expressway to ya u can see the airbase near by.Originally posted by iveco:

by the way PDP is not open for public usually uniformed officers and invited guest are only allow...... The one @ Indoor was great got "air-con" now its the last year anywya so have to use TRACOM grounds for the parade...
On the carnival its is open to public see you guys there....... Haha! provided we know who we are.... =) Happy holidays! -

Police Academy at Thomson to close, new Academy at CCK in 2006
SINGAPORE : The Police Academy will play host to the Annual Police Week Carnival at Thomson Road for the last time.
The 76-year-old academy grounds will be closed by the end of the year, and a new Police Academy will be located at Choa Chu Kang next year.
The public will have a chance to take a last nostalgic look at the grounds where the carnival will be held on June 11-12.
The 24-hour Adventure Race was first held as part of last year's Police Week, and it will continue to be a highlight for this year's celebrations.
While the events will continue, the Police Academy will soon become part of Singapore's history.
Tan Puay Kern, Director of Public Affairs Department, Singapore Police Force, said: "We are moving over to Choa Chu Kang early next year, and with that move, we may have to bring our parade to the new Home Team Academy next year. As well as for the carnival, we will be having the carnival possibly for the last time at the Police Academy this year."
The Police will also be raising funds for charities, and one of the beneficiaries is the Association for People with Special Needs, the Centre for Adults. For this, the Police hope to raise $250,000.
Besides fun and games, the public will also be able to buy handicrafts made by the less-fortunate at the carnival.
Funds raised will go towards helping train them for gainful employment. - CNA/de

wah lau like that is so stupid man... put the bloody place so in.. cannot park, how the hell people is going to go there.. the old tracom is so nice.. so much parking space and free somemore... like that better get a temporaily army camp pass and park in the army camp better... army parking is so much better.. it is free somemore... looks like there will be a long row of cars parking on the roadside like this...

Did you know that sheltered lots in PA Thomson is not free? Haha! only open spaced ones are free.... I duobt you can do that later get towed away sia have to pay fine.... KNS! They should have facilities for that but nto sure why they never think of that! =x Well can always take the MRT its cheaper than driving if 1 stays @ Tampines..... Not really take for average 1L of petrol is 10KM.. 1.6bucks per litre.. from tampines to CCK is about 25KM? so it is 4 bucks... taking MRT + BUS is coming to close to 3 bucks i presume.. then you must count the waiting time, the walking time. cannot sit.. must squeeze... not worth it plus what if you meet a cute course mate.. hmmm.. with private transport can take her out for lunch/dinner too..Originally posted by loonyloony:Did you know that sheltered lots in PA Thomson is not free? Its Jalan Bahar. That i not sure we have not move to HTA. So have to wait for the final decision... Definately if you are commander or head of department your car can safely park there!
