Hi all,
I came across the other thread in the #93.3 forum on
music schools, and decide to start my own forum.
I would like to use this forum to shed some light on vocal education in Singapore, particularly pop singing.
To tell the truth, I'm a vocal instructor from one of the mentioned schools in the abovementioned thread. However I would like to remain annyomous throughout because this is not meant to be a publicity stint.
The sole purpose of this thread is to promote proper vocal education in Singapore. I can give advises on the various paths you can take to improve yourself, but I will not quote names of institute.
My knowledge comes from practical lessons, music lessons, stage experiences, classroom situations and generous readings. If you disagree with my advise, I would hope you kindly ignore my post. However, if you were to find my post misleading to the general reading public, I will also appreciate your assitance in pointing out my mistakes.
For my students out who might be reading this forum, if you are able to recognise my tone of speech, please refrain from guessing or even posting my real identity. I would like to use the neutrality of the internet to provide genuine advise to people who are in search of answers, or even to people who are interested but unable to enrol in proper classes.
Please help to enforce the last rule. It is to protect the integrity of this forum, and also myself(in the event that I post something not favorable to my parent school now).
Thank you for stopping by.
