If all regulars had to go through what ADF goes through, many would quit.Originally posted by Rockhound:regulars in the army...80% cannot make it one la...lazy bastards...sign on for money oni..no passion....no personal bearing....no humility and creativity.....its the NSFs that make things smooth sailing for these regulars...
come to think of it...the onli regulars that i really liked talking to were from Commandos, Divers, ADF and CSAROriginally posted by LazerLordz:If all regulars had to go through what ADF goes through, many would quit.
What is the rank u got in NS?Originally posted by Rockhound:exam...
honestlyl..
2 years ago i was like u
come here and post all this shit in sgforums under the name, sidestep1984...
dont get me anywhere
enjoy ns in its entirety...the more u worry about things...the less ure chance of being an officer....just go with the flow and be ureself...be fit too...and please use ure brain..more often than not...recruits never use brain one...
i went thru my ns as a Company medic for a SIR....and it has been an eyeopener in all aspects..the best sides of ns...the worse sides of ns...seen it all...handled deaths here and there..nothing special...no glory one
in the end..its me...my men...and my smoking point...
just enjoy it while it lasts...now in private sector...damn thankful i never sign on....

Heys hi guys,Originally posted by wuming78:jus wondering wat contributed to the childhood dream?
anyway heres my take
1. u haf to do well in the computer test administered when u go to cmpb for the med checkup. so dun jus click blindly.
2. u haf to be relatively fit and o cos, be pes a or b
3. u haf to be able to work as a team, and display leadership qualities. tt said, pls be urself and not resort to wayanging cos tt will only make u a pain in the a**. and ppl hate ppl who NATO.
4. u haf to do relatively well in the situational test during bmt
5. u haf to indicate ur interest in going to ocs to ur instructors.
6. alot of things can be trained and learnt, even leadership. but u mus at least haf the desire and the right frame of mind and attitude, cos those r hard-wired and are unlikely to change. if one's intention to become an officer is to njoy the privileges tt come wif it, or the power, den the world will be a better place if tt person remains a civilian.
Its the stupid test you will do after your medical checkup that can take up to 2 hrs or so to finish if you do it seriously and you'll be mentally drained after it.Originally posted by tootkiaz:Heys hi guys,
Interested for OCS too. What would the computer test be about?
Have a good night sleep and go with a fresh mind. Read the requirements of the question carefully and understand it before you start. My time there was 1 section i click too fast and didn't read what was required so i ended up cocking up the entire section since i didn't know what i was supposed to answer and it was those type of question that give u a diagram and ask you choose form the list base on some criteria which i didn't read...Originally posted by tootkiaz:Hey thanks for the fast response. Went reading up at the various threads on NS and got kind of confused... Perhaps 'just do it' mentality would suffice?
