The Navy and Air cadets go through their own program...(meaning they will commision at another day not along with the other services)
Yes we still go through a Common Leadership Term...(AKA the TST) with the other services...
And recruits still come straight from BMT to OCS...as of current knowledge ah... -
I believe from the next batch of enlistees onwards (ie. the Mar/Apr 07 bmt people), there will no longer be direct intake into OCS. Instead, all will go through BSLC in SISPEC first, then outstanding performers will proceed on to the equivalent of Professional Term in OCS.
However, I heard that for the Dec/Jan batches of each year, recruits will still proceed straight to OCS instead of through BSLC. This is because they want to assess the potential SAF overseas scholars in OCS directly, as these people, if awarded the SAF overseas scholarships, will disrupt their NS in June of that same year to embark on their studies. -
hello sirs, how come OCTs cannot book out in No. 4( or am i too outdated liao)? and to become a flag bearer, must the junior officer be 1.75m and above ?

There never was a time that OCTs can book out in no4. Sorry if my previous post no head no tail. My cousin just went in to OCS today and my aunt v worried and ask me to find out. Dont know ask who so ask at this forum. Is F the most siong and is D still the scholar plt? Hope someone can help. Tks

Many tks. We think that he's in F, but he hasnt called home yet. 1st day very xiong is it? The reason asking about scholar platoon is becos he is applying for scholarships. If there is scholar plt n he is not in means no chance to get.
Any more info about this batch greatly appreciated. If my aunty asks again I got something to say. I gone through NS, but service side so dont know anything

in sispec, the ppl have time to go out at night after 5 after and have to reuturn to camp by 12 on weekdays.
does ocs have such a thing? -
Just received some info last night, so I share with all. Scholars seem to be in D. The training very xiong, but they seem to be happier than in BMT Facilities also OK. Got cadet mess(nice), food better than Tekong They were told that they will have to fall in at 3am for....?
It seems that F is support and S and T are infantry. Is that correct ? Visiting day is April 8. -

Well, you can choose not to read the answer if you think I know nuts about it. And you did not clarify your question but since you've done that, I'll be "polite" like you wanted and tell you the answer. Officer "wei feng" attitude will get you no where after you commission. Foxtrot and Delta Wings both have different cultures, can't compare which is more xiong, just be prepared for all the hardship training to be an officer entails. -
