What NS haircut/ hairstyle can I have after post-BMT in a typical NS unit?
1. Acceptable haircut for male.
Moustaches are permitted. If a moustache is kept, it has to be kept neatly trimmed and of moderate length. No portion is to fall below a line parallel with the bottom of the upper lip or extend sideways beyond a vertical line drawn upward from the corner of the mouth.
You are to maintain at least the standard NS hair cut.
That is... Smart. Neat. Short. Tidy. Pleasant. Presentable.
If you dare, then just cut and do your stylo-milo hairstyle, go to camp and see the reaction.
Even NSmen/ reservists also face the same NS standard, discipline and regimentation when they report back for in-camp training (ICT).
So what makes you, who are just a NSF, special?
Just cut your hair like a primary school boy. This will definitely not go wrong.
previously my unit maintain recruit cut during vocational training. after passing out from vocation training must maintain 4 x 2 ns haircut.
Good to know. Don't wanna get all my hair cut off because I messed up on something lol.

Actually depends on your officer and unit. simple as that.
i see some ppl hair super long, their superiors in charge dont mind.
But then again, Smart, neat short, tidy is the right way to go about cutting ur hair.
I had a Quinto/Beckham haircut in unit, and nobody said anything till I ord-d.
Only once did a half-colonel come and say anything to me, he said my haircut was too punky and asked me to cut. Five minutes later while I was thinking if I need to cut a high-and-tight he came back and said it was okay and I didn't need to cut it.
I cut botak 1 week before i got enlisted. Trying to get used to my new look in advance.haha
Guys , i would like to ask something on behalf of this question, im a model (Full-Time) and i've just been called to do my reservist and i've seen people saying that you need to cut your hair and must be the ns standards . However, I've also seen people saying that if you are in any modelling/acting career , you do not need to get a haircut, thus, you have been excused. Can you guys pls tell me whether or not i will need to cut my hair although i am a model ( i have long hair btw like those shoulder leng hair) thanks
For reservists, you can request your hiring artiste/ model management company to issue official letters to prove your civilian career to RSM/ any other disciplinary masters, but this is no guarantee for to be excused. Should RSM treat the NSmen fairly and strictly order you to cut your hair, you must cut hair by the barbers hired by the RSM in camp.

No dye hair, short side burn, fringe not too long and no "tails" at the back of ur head and you should be fine...
Short undercut is acceptable. Make sure u wax up your hair and it looks neat and not "ah beng"
BOTAK
Presentable haircuts are the best and least annoying
The public image of any armed forces depends not only on its proven or potential fighting efficiency in times of war but also equally on its appearance and conduct as a disciplined and unified force. Therefore uniformity, correctness and smartness on all occasions are essential in projecting the desired public image.
Every service personnel must maintain a neat and clean appearance and be smartly dressed on all occasions while in uniform. Uniforms worn are to be neat, clean, properly fitted and pressed/ironed to portray a smart military image. The uniform must be worn properly at all times.
Our military bearing, turnout and conduct reflect the level of discipline and professionalism in the SAF. Apart from facilitating operational readiness, it is therefore crucial for us to upkeep SAF’s image with good military bearing and professionalism. Every serviceman is expected to maintain appropriate bearing and turnout, and acceptable haircut is part of it. Refer to Annex A for Acceptable Haircut in MINDEF/SAF.
Sikh personnel wearing the turban and patkas, and practising Sikhism prior to enlistment for Full-time National Service are allowed to keep long hair due to their tradition. However, they are to ensure that the hair showings below the turban are neatly tucked in and that beard and moustache are neatly groomed.
All SAF uniformed personnel (including Regulars, NSF, NSmen and SAF Volunteer Corps) are not allowed to wear the SAF uniform or any part of the SAF uniform, when overseas except when on official duties.
A Regular, NSF, NSmen or SAF VC is not to wear the uniform or any part of it except when:
The SAF Day marks the importance of defence and the role of every soldier in defending Singapore. To increase public support for defence and NS, all NSmen are encouraged to wear their SAF uniform to work on 1st July.
Temporary excuse from wearing uniform may be given to service personnel for medical reasons certified by SAF Medical Officers.

No sideburns, if anything you can wax your hair up. I see my commanders do that (not very long hair but in general looks cool and neat). If need be, just get high slope (or mid slope without sideburns), that one is ideal in ns
Botak lagi best!
hair cuts as above.
also book in attire wise, either in smart 4 or jeans and polo tee.
Every time in-pro, the barber will standby at my company line, hard to escape.
