Damn Sian ,34 years liao. Holding list for more than 10 years, still kenna ICT callup. I'm an ASA. Anyone who was in the same situation recently? What is expected of you when you go back? My gear is definately not in working condition....
Fricking SAF nothing better to do with thier $$ issit?

It's normal lah, got a friend also kenna 1st ICT at the age of 35. Somemore, he told me on the 1st day ICT a lot of people during his ICT also 30+ kenna 1st ICT and a lot of them cannot fit into the old uniforms liao.

It is about 6 months before the ICT dates.
They will send in the instructions (by post) or give an ICT briefing before your real ICT about one week before.
They may also ask you to go for a medical review before the ICT itself.

Regardless of working condition, I think your gear will be replaced with new versions.
The same goes for No 4 uniform if they call you up beyond this July- compulsory uniform phase in date.

they may give you 2 ICTs in one year to cover for the lost years.

Treat it as strike lottery, go in and have fun la. Back to the good old carefree days.

If you are so old, will they give you less siong ICT?

One officer in my coy only got called back in his late 30s.
Now he's in his early 40s, and he still had to go chiong sua with us. Just too bad for him - officers are liable for ICT until the age of 50.

My reservist lif..
1 week after ORD, kenna recall maning call up
2 weeks after ORD, receive ICT call-up
4 month after ORD, 1st ICT
11 month after ORD, 2 nd ICT
this extreme fast, TS extreme slow in ICT call-up

Whoo your unit is exploiting your 40 days annual limit to the max.

is your first ICT before April and second ICT after April of the same year??

it was in May onwards, another in December.
1st ict is for 21 days, on course with NSF. most of the 21 days is out in field. and do every thg same same NSF trainee.. including drop 50 numerous times, and run touch this tree,, touch that pole etc....
2nd ICT is battalion level, 18 days. Evaluation programme... out of 18 days ICT, 11 days straight in field, 1st day in-process at 7.30am, commence out field mission at 10am.. they call it test your readiness wahahaha
1st yr ICT total 39 days.... wahahaha, even last time this is not normal... only my unit siao

Wah really siao leh. Normally they'll will leave u in peace for the 1st year or at least 6 mths. Also 1st ICT normally is 1 year later after you ORD. But I must say TS one is consider slow liao but definitely not the slowest.

like that considered 1 or 2 HKs done? cos only one ICT counted per mindef work year? that's why i asked u whether b4 april or after. the 2 HKs in same mindef work year, they may count only one HK done.
