I check with this thread

It mentions "Small lock with keys". How "small" the lock should be?
Those small golden ones with keys that can be found at most hardware shops or NTUC..
I thought it's now provided?

those BMT-issued locks are those cheapo type made in china...
easily break by just a few knocks with small hammer and small screwdriver...
If like that get the earth brand from any hardware shops...model is 102 or 103 should be good enough.

I think so.....long time never buy those liao. IMHO best lock cos never found a key that can open two or more.
A normal padlock will do. It'll be better also. No need to carry keys around and worry about losing it.

i see. got 20mm and 30mm size. 20mm enough? thanks
Get the one that's slightly thicker on the top..i think 30mm. The one I used was unlock by the side. But I think that's not important
More important to discuss the thickness of the moving part.
The ring on the cabinet is small, will only take 5mm diameter or less.

Nothing new or spectacular leh. All the same ole stuff.
my view is never get too good a lock also...
many will lost their keys, and ended up need to break the lock
there is nothing valuable to be stolen
so just get a number lock
