BMT: 9 May 2012 BMTC Tekong NS Enlist

Hi guys, I need to report to Basic Military Training(Pulau Tekong) Headquarters on 9/05/2012 which is next wednesday. I’m going in for the PTP because i was able to get a silver for napfa. My PES status is A. So now i have a few questions in mind, pls help and advise me. Thank you very much!
1. Anyone enlisting same date as me?!
2. Is PTP training at tekong? The food good anot? LOL
3. How long must i wait before i can book out?
4. Which unit and vocation am i likely to be posted to?
5. Will it be very tough ?
6. Is the training able to cope ?

I think u are from fit squad! I'm going police NS too on 8 may, don't worry they will teach u if don't know how to swim..as heard from my friends I think It is manageable except field camp..but sorry those are what my friend told me so they may not be very genuine

so you mean i'm from the fit squad ? does it benefit me ? should i start to train now ? as the date of enlistment is near by ?

Since u got silver for napfa u don't have to go through PTP, check ur enlistment letter if they have stated that u must undergo 8 weeksPTP? If not u go in straight to bmt!

ok. PTP? easy lah..nothing but PT every day and night. Your 1st booked out will most likely be 25/26 may. Unit and vocation? don't worry lah..it's hard to predict. although they'll threatened you to be infantry. As for food, depending how high your standard is lah, I wouldn't say fantastic but it's huge improvement since late 90s but don't expect michelin standard lor. As for training, it's depending on you. some find it tough some ok....
