Hi guys, I'm thinking of signing on with the RSAF as a WSO but I would like to know how the life of an officer cadet in the air wing of OCS is like, as compared to its army counterparts in terms of regimentation and discipline, outfields, training curriculum, and just about everything else including book outs
Was told not to be rash with my decisions and persuaded to see for myself how life would be like during the common leadership module but I don't think that the 4 weeks would be an accurate representation of how life in the air wing would be like for the remaining 8 months. Would appreciate any input.
Thanks in advance!
Theoretically the same but surely there are differences.
But I don't understand why you're so fixated on how these 9 months will pass as compared to the years in your contract.
Huh, I do not see any mention of "trying out" in my post above. Anyway, I'm okay with a career in the air force. However, it's a pretty close fight and a difficult choice to make between signing on and going for the usual uni studies route.
If the life of an air force OCT is considered good it'll be a merit to signing on, otherwise I wouldn't bother. The thought of being a NSF as an infantry OCT is...damn sian. If air force OCS isn't going to be any better I might as well just suck thumb, serve my 2 years and continue with life.
