I used to get Gold award for every IPPT in the reserve service from 1993 till my last ICT. I have no problem in running 9 minutes plus for 2.4 km run at around 30 years old. After completing finishing my 13-year life cycle and over 40 years old, my timing has dropped year after year. I still run regularly and was quite surprised that my 2.4 km time trial has dropped to 12 mins 35 secs on 16/3/2012. My strength and endurance has diminished a lot. I know that no one can resist against the effects of aging but I'm also quite curious on how far and how well I can improve from my current fitness. Any one got any similar experience for sharing, especially in the same age group? Thank you.
