How to work NOW so that we can dont sweep floor after we are retired after 65 years old?
How to earn enough or what scheme/grant to apply to own 2-room HDB flat?
How to ask for a better salary rise?
What are the MOM guideline for OT?
and etc...

They are an utter mockery for Sg males when FT counterparts can kick start their career earlier and get jobs, while sg guys have to slog and sacrifice 2 years of their youth just so FTs and the mother fking govt benefit out of it.
You know I can still remember the day when I am going to be enlisted when my FT classmates were making jokes of those of us having to go to the army while they are getting free places and scholarships in Uni ~
Is the Sg govt going to compensate me for all these privileges and humiliation ?

Luckily I got a low PES status, so I siam re-service for good.
I never even passed my BMT, needless say what route march, firearms test, I never even touched a real M16 or SAR 21 throughout my NS time.
I out of couse twice from BMT and the very 2nd time I out of course its exactly at the time i about to ORD. So SAF lan lan has to let me out.
Been 5 years since i ORD but no call up yet.
I think the likelihood is from slim to none liao.

lets hope they dont call you up last minute. i have one camp mate who went 40 days overseas ICT in one year. one in the 1st half of the year and the other the 2nd half. -

Hate to burst your bubble. If you were in a service vocation throughout NS, it's very common to get first call up years after ORD. Cos the unit is reluctant to call up a useless soldier but Mindef forces them to. 5 years is very common, 10 years then say you're heng.
