Hi all, before i proceed further, please read this:
I HAVE SHOWN MY SPECIALIST LETTER TO THE M.O.
okay now we got that cleared, please do not refer me to the "No specialist letter no talk" thread as i have read and followed it.
Anyway, after getting my specialist letter which he recommends excuse uniform and stay in, i showed it to my M.O. He excused me for a few weeks as he explained to me that he does not have the power to make it a permanent thing, as my current condition is not serious enough to warrant it.
As such, i forsee myself going back to him again and again when my temp status ends.
Is it feasible to carry on like this until i ORD? Or is there a way to make it permanent without my condition worsening?
thanks.
U need another specialist letter.
Its content should state something like:
"This illness/injury can last a lifetime / 5 years or more / permanent injuries and recommend downgrade. blablablabla..."
The bolded part is impt.
Hi jgho83, thanks for the reply.
Just wondering, is there a quota on the number of specialist letter i can give the M.O.? I find it quite weird in the sense that i'm like using the specialist to 'converse' to the M.O. Also, given the bold part, is it a 100% thing for the M.O. to go to the medical board?
cheers.
Everytime, you see a specialist you must converse to the camp MO because, the SAF MO needs to know what drugs was given, the conditions were worsen or improved. Some drugs may make you sensitive to light. You will never know.
You had skin problem?
Then you need to find out what you are allergy to. It can be nylon, cotton, metal, grass and etc. Do a simple allergy test. Will grant you a perm excuse.
You should see the doc if the condition is not improving, or relapse. You does this for flu, and fever. Why not for skin problem ?

Yes, for the bold part; specialists are > MO.
i.e, if a skin specialist says u got skin problem and recommend downgrade, who is the MO or even the medical board to say no? If they say no, they are doubting the expertise of the specialist. If anything happen to u, who answer?
So, i can say for 100%, any specialist letter that recommend downgrade will 100% work.
But of course, specialist dont and cant decide your PES status. Medical board decide those.
Lastly, there is no quota.

He wont ask this qns.
If he do ask, its really simple to answer.
You got the right to see any doctor u please and specifically - a specialist.
Which he is not.

Once again, thanks for your reply.
I've done the allgergy test already and i was found to be allergic to dust mites. Is this strong enough to warrant perm stay out if i were to show the results to my MO?

Imho, because your problem can be solve with a cleaner environment, so do more area cleaning. But it's up to the MO to decide whether to put you on board for perm stay out.

We do a lot of area cleaning already. But some camps are inherently old, and as such collect dust a lot faster than the newly constructed camps. Cupboards in our camp accumulate dust at a very fast rate. Morning clean then lunch time got dust again. I think a lot of it is also due to on going consturction :(
