Hey! I was just wondering about NS police so i wanted to ask a few questions....
1) I really want to do NS police and is there any way i can be in National Service Police? Maybe like what i heard is sign bond? Whats the meaning? A 5 year contract? Can i study during this period? What if i do not wanna carry on this bond? What should i do?
2) N if i don't sign bond is there any ways i still can go in like any requirements i need to meet so i can get enlisted in Police NS? Im in NPCC right now. Thinking of being a CI. Will this help me get enlisted to police?
3) MY bro might also be going in NS the same year as me in future. Lets say if he get selected in SAF, do i have higher chance of being in SPF? Or will I also be posted to SAF?
PLS HELP ME!!! Btw, I am only 16 n i still got like 5 more years to NS but im still very worried! I dun want to go SAF.. I LOVE SPF especially their crime fighting and case solving! ITS EXCITTING!! It will be nice if i dun get unrespectful remarks. THANKS!
1) Sign on with police force, so you will sign a 5 year bond. Your 2-years of NS will be included. So you NS is police! I think you are allowed to study as well. If you cancel the bond, you need to pay them back what they pay you.
2) Whether you are in NPCC or not, it does not mean you will get police NS.
3) No such thing. SAF can take both of you.
wait.. For signing bond, when can i do it? Before i get my NS letter? N if i cancel bond, all those money i get for NS also must give back? And can i like cancel the bond straight after my 2 year NS?

to sign bond means you sign contract to serve for 5 years as a
regular instead of 2 years of full-time NS.
break bond and you can expect to pay back several thousand dollars
(compensation penalty + all the monetary allowances, regular
salaries and bonuses) that is supposedly invested in you to groom
you to be trained as a professional policeman.
as being a professional policeman for 5 years, you are expected to
be a full-time professional policeman to serve Singapore. only if
granted approval by your superior, then you may register for
part-time night classes to upgrade your studies, subject to
approval since it's country above self. e.g. police duties comes
first.
and u 16 now.... why u say u still got 5 yrs to go b4 u go ns leh??
