Paramedic L3 - <- this is when you called an ambulance in Singapore, the qualified medic is.
O, N Level <- Nursing assistant.(not a nurse)
ITE <-- Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN)
Diploma <-- Registered Nurses (junior nurse)
Bachelor, Master, PhD <-- Surgical nurses/scrub nurses, Specialised nurses, Practical/Vocational Nurses, Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, Clinical Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA), Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS), Nurse Practitioners (NP).
It is impossible to promote ladies to serve NS as nurses.
Everything is possible. It's the will and determination of the nation.

Impossible is impossible. The diploma training of three years of nursing already exceed the NS of two years.

everything is impossible...
only thing possible is impossible...
Possible is impossible. Impossible is possible.

x2.
Even with our PES C/E male clerks, everything can go wrong already.
I don't need 5 females and 4 males to line up and tell me: Sorry, you said you were promoted but haven't gotten the back-pay yet?

in fact the government will be paying them peanuts every month for the job they have to doing such as clerical work in army, navy, airforce. girls also can do MP, RP, QM jobs in the army too. same for police and civil defence and fire brigade too. those who are trained in nursing, can do their NS in hospitals right. how much is a nurse salary every month, compare to a NSF doing the same job? its cost savings for the government isnt it.
Why don't you serve the nation first (if you are a guy), then tell me how much dough you ripped the govt off?
I dont support girls' NS but I support them going for a 3 month stint with PT, field camp, route march and making them clean up after themselves.
And learning how to kiwi a guy's boots and wash and iron a guy's No. 4.
Would girls be willing to get pregnant to "escape" NS?
Not every male is cut out to be a medic (I have seen my fair share of gu niang NSMen that just faint on the sight of blood, etc) so it is unrealistic to say channel women into nursing, the same thing will happen also because not every female is cut out to be a nurse/medic.
Besides, there is no need for such a debate, because with our falling birth rate year on year, it is just a matter of time, females will be drafted to make up for the manpower short fall.
So unless our gurment find some miracle way to top up this projected short fall, female serving is just a matter of time.
i can simply put it as ladies nowadays are not mentally and physically stronger than the women in the past. like our mothers and grandmothers.
sad to say, our ancestors are not well educated or not educated at all. however, they do know how to protray the real female virtues out of them. unlike right now, though all ladies are highly educated, they still cant fulfil the virtues like our ancestors. maybe their parents dont teach them the right values, or the society causes them to change(means their roots of values are not strong), or simply they do things what they want to do. in short, live in their comfort zone.
alot of people says it's challenging to be a lady in the 21st century. i would say it's challenging when they still can live up with the virtues of our ancestors, and living in such a moral-degrading society.

the only possibility is to see action...
more social actions and contributions in national terms from females such as proposing mandatory civil service for females....focussing not so much on their individuals' securities or one sided gender's interests....pursue balanced interests for both genders....for their sons and husbands as well....not just emphasizing on women's rights....
thats the real challenge and test of an open minded woman we need...

First we must ask whether such girls are valued by men.
If they were, SAF regular girls would be in high demand. But they are not... (except by other regulars in camp)

no wonder so many singles, divorces, low fertility rates....the govt missed out on the root factor why so many men avoid marriages...u simply cannot overemphasize and over protect one gender and suppress another...
too many excuses.
