anyone has any idea of service injury?
is eczema inclusive in this category?
became visible & explosive for the last 11 months of ns, downgraded to e9l9.
had notified via chain of command that was having difficulty coping during that course of 11 months.
diagnosed with depression during the course as well.
still suffering from the aftermath of severe eczema. plenty of rash on forehead, chest, many areas.
pls advice!
Whack with drugs, usually it will subside after a few weeks
If you already downgrade so you can ya ya.
You cannot claim service injury for eczema
You can ask for MC when you eat immunosuppressive drugs.
Take care.
No, you can't justify such a claim simply because it's not a physical injury at all for any permanent disability (PD), as similar to a civilian insurance policy. e.g. loss of hearing/ sight/ limbs/ bones...etc.
The most you can go, which you already had, is to downgrade to within PES E range.
You can refer to: http://sgforums.com/forums/1390/topics/392446
Anyway, for a genuine in-service training injury report claim, you can refer to this to take note: www.sgforums.com/forums/1390/topics/334506

i been taking pred. oral steriod for close to 11 months.
wasnt covered MC all the way,
had many infections and others .
caught flu from man and was hospitalised.
suppose to continue to cyclosporine , second level of eczema treatment , but closer to ord date and cost is not cheap , therefore did not continue.
did not continue seeing the shrink as well.
did not continue as family has no income.

Actually, the harmful drugs are even cheaper and more effective than the expensive one. And the polyclinic doctors have them. But they are harmful.
You have taken prednisone for 11 months? That is too long. If it is effective, 2-3 days you will see the difference. After 2 weeks if you dont see any difference. You should change a new drug and dont waste time. There is a whole library of drugs to try. You should change a doctor also.
You should also try to find out what causes the outbreak. It can be anything, from food such as shellfish, washing powder, bleach, weather, dust, no. 4 uniform...
If you are frequently sick by flu and other illness, it is normal because your immuno system is being suppressed by the drugs you are taking.
yes, as issued by my MO, A&E & NSC..
saw NSC head of eczema by luck on my last visit to NSC and he commented on that too , when i asked him why his doctors issued it, he just kept quiet.
i dont really have problems with any of them previously, now i have problems with all of them.
perhaps i did not add, after NSC took many blood tests from me and could not decide, i thought it might be stress and did see a psychiatrist in TTSH & SGH.
during midway like 4-5th month. had signs of bipolar disorder.
had a week of my life i could not remember, did weird things, thought was not going to make it.
during the day, the councillar from TTSH did a housevisit as she felt that smth was wrong.
did notify mo and saw him on a personal note but did not follow his arrangement to A&E instead took leave to take a breather, because i thought if i was not able to make it, at least i did something i wanted to do.
subsequent visit to SGH was diagnosed with depression.
Eczema..... One of the best to keng illness haha.
Well Ts. Like the usual got memo got talk. Best is go skin center and get yourself a memo. My friend got downgraded to pes E cause of eczema. He took a drug quite potent, excuse sunlight and down pes to pes E from pes A.
Go to public hospitals A and E or skin center.......
hi
i visited novena specialist. dropped to my MO, who said it was not serious enough, which spreaded all over my body , face inclusive.
seen another MO
drop frop pes B to E.
seriously i think its not keng because the pain is really un describeable.
taking steriods a few steriods is fun, taking a few hundred of steriods is not.
Diagnosed with depression got see doctor? If you have appointment card then I believe they allow you to down pes.
but yeah eczema another excuse to downpes :/
