Does Camp MO has the Right to Cut Short Hospital Doctor' MC?

  is it possible for MO to cut short the mc given by the consultant of the hospital?

  Yes but they will be questioning the integrity of the other doctor by doing so. Never happens. That's why units hate it when you go to a private doctor.

  of course.

  all MCs need to be endorsed by the MO.  but if he cuts it short and something happens to you he is liable.

  i believe thats why most MOs dont do that.

  Yes.

  MO is a medical doctor. A medical doctor has the right to countermand another medical doctor's orders if he so desires.

  But that seldom happens, for as others have pointed out, it's a smack in the face for the first doctor.

  Also, if sh*t happens, you can be sure that the MO will have it flying into his face.

  Actually, there is a national medical guideline on how many days MC to give for what purpose. So it is pretty universal.

  Actually they can.. The previous MO in my camp even cut my status from 2mths to 3 weeks. But heard that he kena shit later. Apparently he did that to many ppl and some guy with a pretty serious illness threatened to sue him.
