VEES: Is Voluntary Early Enlist Scheme for SAF /SPF/ SCDF?

I've applied for the VEES and the application form came today. I'm 16 and a 1/2 and will be reaching 17 on dec. Just wanna ask whether whats the chances of being posted to PNSD or SCDF?

okay what. TS go in early, ORD early and finished his ICT cycle early. Finish it as young as possible. As you go older, you really dun have that much energy to chiong already.

That's why I early enlist, hahaha. But I have no intention on staying in SAF because I'm signing on to SPF once I ord so to get NS increment
From what I know once you sign on you won't have to serve reservist :B -

If you wan to sign on SPF. You need to study Nitec, higher nitec.
If you have met their O level passes entry requirement, you would have got to poly.
Sign on SPF, they will let you go to SPF BMT straight.
You should go the SPF recruitment website to check.
With N level and VESS, u would surely go to infantry, guards (no NDU, no commando, no SCDF, no SPF).

I did not take N levels. My highest now is PSLE until the end of this year then It'll be O levels.

Then you should study hard for your O level. Even if you wan to sign on, you have to be poly, nitec or higher nitec in SPF.
It is weird, but if you have met their O level passes entry requirement, you would have got to poly.
VESS is for those who are PSLE, N level or sec drop out one, do you know that?

I understand, I'm a secondary drop out and I have PSLE, I'll only be taking my O levels this year and I want to clear my NS liabilities ASAP, that's why I applied for VEES early and I'll go to poly / ITE if I don't meet the requirements for poly. So the purpose of this thread is to enquire whether my scheme is for SPF/SCDF and from the answers above I guess it's a No am I right?

When you go VESS, they will just post in any other places available, other than those that have pre-requisites.
What make you think that VEES will help you? The intake of the army is in batches, every 3- 4 months, there is a BMT course. The poly and the ITE graduates in batches, so you will have to wait for them to clear their BMT first. If there is a place, then they sort you in. So you may wait 3 , 6 , 9 or 12 months for your BMT. When you ORD, then you are overdue to enter the next batches of ITE or poly, then you have to wait another year to study.
Since you say that you are a sec drop out, most llikely u may have some records at the police stations. You can forget about signing on SPF, they wouldnt accept you.
I suggest you follow the normal route. O level -> (Nitec/Hnitec/poly) -> N. It will make you life easier.
