Could anybody shed light on what these acronyms stand for?
The pic says M-203 but shows SAR-21.
I'm wondering if there is such a combi and if the weapon is actually a CIS 40.
It is a sar-21 with an m-203 launcher, the launchers are short things, prolly 1/3 length of your arm, but I dunno how long your arm is.
I know PRC is the signal set, and nvg is the night vision goggles, The rest are just big, heavy, and a burden to carry.
RCS - for urban ops one. iirc it is called round corner system/screen. where by you can point yout rifle at the corner blind spot without getting yourself exposed.
LOL. I think it look very nice. But I dont want to be the 1 of 7 holding them. Cose I know it is freaky heavy. And is not fun carrying them. Though, I am CS fan. LOL.
The blogger has finally revealed the meanings behind the acronyms.
ACMS: Advanced Combat Man System. The ACMS is the catch-all term for a range of capability-enhancing projects for Singapore Army infantry warfighters. The Infantry Capability Development Approach calls for improvements under a roadmap driven by the 4 "S" - Shoot, Sense, Shield and Sustain.
wonder what will happened if one of the man is down.... dunno the other six will just go carry his equipment and throw him there... or carry both and run.....then start to imagine 2 man down.... then 3 man....... shiok sia....
Go see the discussion on the blog, they're debating whether 7 men is enough, but some fool said 4 men is still combat effective.
