OCS training I understand is tougher than SCS, OCS less bookouts than SCS, OCS more xiong.
But I would like to ask if its better to become a serg or an officer? LIke would sergs have to do more sai kang work, officer got more respect, etc... What are the good and bad points of becoming a serg or officer?

Depends on if you are:
1) Regular = Best to be officer, more salary, less work after commission, only planning and talking
2) NSF = Best to be just man or trooper (pte, lcp, cpl)
Just take my advice. Better don't ask me to elaborate, it will get ugly and blunt...
Already answered your PM....
Sergeant better, lower pay, less responsibilities.
Officers have a lot of sai kang also...... Planning work to do etc....
I notice that since someone came up with the sexy name of "command school", kids have been crazy about getting in.
to alize: my original topic was whether to being a serg or an officer would be better, sadly, my topic title was changed to the current one.
Hmm, could you then answer my question I posted in my first post above?

How can I answer conclusively?
As an officer, it is easier to get girls and jobs. It looks better in the minds of bosses and chicks.
A 3SG may work as hard as an officer for less pay. Another 3SG has an easier job, better hours and higher pay than most enlistees. So be careful turning down command school to be an enlistee, and be careful accepting it.
