Hi there
I'm a doctor from Melbourne who has been called back to serve my national service, so I can help you out.
To be politically correct, the system is a little...disadvantageous to foreign doctors.
Basically, as a registered doctor overseas (as I am), you are not permitted to serve as an MO in the army, since you do not not have FULL local registration (if youre from a recognised Uni, you only get conditional registration).
So you have two options:
1. Try to get registration locally - this involves 2 years of work, and then undertake your MOCC.
2. Serve your reservist as a normal grunt.
Cheers

If you are working overseas, you should defer ICT. And report that you are overseas. Apply for exit permit. Why do you need to come back for ICT, in the first place?

Hmm so I have to do my housemanship in singapore instead huh after my studies?
It doesn't matter. If you do your housemanship here, you need to work THREE years before you get fully registered. If you do your housemanship overseas, you work in singapore TWO years (as you are considered a fully registered foreign doctors) to get registered.
