I need some help in passing my pull-up for IPPT (6 at least). I'm now a zerofighter and I see no improvement no matter what I do. I'm already 3 weeks into my BMT and I've only 6 more weeks to go. I dont wanna get a BMT recourse. Any tips on pull-up training please? I'm in PES B1 btw.
Relax. You wont recourse if you fail Ippt if i am not wrong. .
Title says all. You can go google.
Fail IPPT also can pass BMT. Many fat ppl too heavy cannot do even one.
By the way, Chin up can be improved by training biceps and lats musscle.
Pushups does not help chin up at all. Alot off ppl have misconception.
You go gym ask instructor to guide u train lats and biceps. Weight training helps.
There's a machine called assisted pullup with a counterweight in gym. It helps too.
BMT pass is range, field camp and route march if I am not wrong.
Pushups train triceps not biceps.
The requirements to pass out from BMT is to fulfil two of the three below + 75% attendence,
1) IPPT pass
2)BTP pass
3) Participation in field camp
Therefore, as long as you fulfil any 2 of 3 you can pass out.

wah, like that can keng for field camp leh. just pass ippt and btp lah. go participate in field camp for **** ?
Agree that push ups do nuts for chin ups. After doing years of chin ups, I come to realise there is a bit of technique involved.
Lol you think it is so easy to keng field camp? Anyway, most status personnel must participate in field camp.
He thought he discovered a loophole in the system.
There's no short cut to train chin up except you do everyday.
The back muscles are very strong muscle. Most people who are unable to do chin-up is because they dont even know how to activate their back muscle. One should try to LEARN how to do chin up and not force the way the through.
Try to visualise that you are swimming breaststroke, instead of pulling the water downwards, now you are pulling the bar instead.

Lats and biceps will help chin up.
You can pray to Jesus, he might send some angels to push u up so that you can pass IPPT chin up.
You can pray for sonic shoes so that your 2.4 km run will never fail.
you can pray for 6 packs so that you will never fail sit ups.
You can pray for super legs so that you will jump out of the black standind broad jump mat.
You can pray for slowing down of stopwatch so that you will pass shuttle run.
My frenz passed IPPT & thanked God for It.
Nothing is impossible with God. haha lol.

Yah OCS and SISPEC bo chance le.
My frenz alway exercise so he no need go gym also pass pullups. He play basketball mah. he never go gym gt biceps or lats. My father also play sports no need go gym to train can do 10.
Go to the gym, use the machine where you pull down weights.
Start with a light weight you can handle, train up and build you muscles, until you can pull your body weight.
