Hows polling day going to work? Will we be getting an extra day off in lieu or because SAF policy for those stay in is that saturday is also a working day that we will only get the sat off.

You should be given time off to vote on Polling Day if you are above 21.
what about those on weekend guard duty?
If you are not staying in on Sat, you won't get OIL. For civilians, whether you work on Sat or not, you will get OIL or one day's pay (by order of MOM).
If you are doing guard duty on a normal Sat, you also don't get OIL. For exercise, it depends on your commander.
SAF or other civil service has Mon as OIL
