Hi guys, i'm currently a NSF posted to a non combat unit. in my vocation, it is possible to rise to a 3SG rank either by passing IPPT or having a perm pes status of C2 and below. i've been here for about 2 months.
i previously saw an outside specialist who gave me a "strictly for army" letter to show my MO while i was doing BMT on tekong. i was referred to MMI straightaway/. since then, i've been to MMI twice, next week is my third time.
i have pretty bad rashes and history of eczema since young, but my rashes are only popping out at my thigh joints (obese ma! a lot of sweat). the doctor at MMI have told me twice that my skin is not getting better, but he can only downpes me if there is a "certain degree of skin condition" which i do not have. something like the rashes are not all over my body.
will it be advisable if i see my outside specliast again for another "strictly for army" letter to bring to MMI next week, suggesting that i be downgraded to a slightly lower pes status?
thanks in advance for the advice!
u can ask for a upgrade, but I don't think u wanted that, but certain vocation they do promote men even in svc vocation to 3SG, but performance must be quite good, either to specialist course or getting local rank
I can tell you the only way you can obtain a 3SG rank is to clear your IPPT, if not, even if you're in non-combat vocation, the furthest you can go without clearing your IPPT is probably a CFC if you performed exceptionally well.
Originally posted by Lokey:eczema no manner how bad it is, still have to take IPPT one. At most is C1L2. BUT with excuse uniform, sunlight, outfield.
Because eczema patient is able-bodied. So does not affect the IPPT ability. It only affect the deployable status. The deployable status is affected by the “excuses”.
It is the drug that the patient is taking that affect the IPPT ability. But not every1 is taking steroidal anti-inflammatory drug.
Wrong my frenz eczema PES C9L9.
I met him in tekong BMT.
I got another friend who is PES E9L9 eczema.
My BMT friend got high myopia, PES C9L9.
affect deployability and IPPT status too.
ck, u wrong la lol.. even though directive nowadays very strict on promotion, the below 2 options says it all. dunno who started claiming that NSF promotion is determined by eligibility to take IPPT
certain vocation the estab there liao.. [cos SAF determined it to be a specialist job and so on; if not max only will be CFC]
promotion wise for NSF is either IPPT or down PES in time to meet the earliest date of pay adjustment due promo.
hahah yup, my vocation is a spec job, and either i pass IPPT or down PES in time as collinnx88 stated.
but my question is, having visited MMI twice for the same problem (the next visit being my 3rd), will going to see a private specialist doctor to get a letter to recommend downgrade help my case or influence the downgrade when i go for my next visit?

Wad's ur PES status now?
B. but obese batch, so passing IPPT is honestly not something that I'll aim for towards the 3SG pay!
