yea....try to apply for deferment. One of my platoon mates defer quite a few yrs, didn't see him for some ict yrs due to work and study. Now he got his mba...but the unit is in its 8th cycle and he only finish 4 cycles. Got its disadvantage to defer.
But if your class/exam only few days then depends on your direct superior/OC. They may be able to release you give u time off. Also depend on your role in the unit and if your class clash with the training program.

Actually, if I am not wrong, when the platoon finishes all the 8 cycles, it will disband. And this guy might not be called back at all for infantry platoon. Cose, it does not make sense to put this odd person into another platoon when it has already be filled up.
Anyway lol. My boss is going 40 years and yet he has only done 6 ICT in total. There is an advantage being a LCPL...

but i dun understand why the plt disband at 8 cycles. Shouldn't ict be 10 cycles?
