Hi guys,
I'm a cadet now in OCS, but I've just got diagnosed with Thalassemia Minor Alpha, I've made a report to the MO, what are the chances of me being down pes? and if I'm being down pes to pes C9L9, is there a chance for me to insist on maintaining at a pes B? I read up most forums Thalassemia = C9L9... And are there chances whereby thalassemia personal are not being down pes? Please help Thank you!
Don't be foolish.... thalassemia is not a minor condition. If they tell you to downgrade, then please do so.
Not to worry as Thalassemias are inherited—that is, they're passed from parents to children through the genes. If your parents have missing or altered hemoglobin-making genes, you may have thalassemia.
Alpha thalassemias most often affect people of Southeast Asian, Indian, Chinese, or Filipino origin or ancestry. No treatment is required and you should carry on with your normal routine including army training.
Anemia!
Usually, these people cannot run a marathon, lack of useful red blood cells. They have lower than average oxygen level in the blood. It is better to downgrade as low as possible. When you fainted during a run, only God can save you.
Check it out with doctor. It is very important to screen your partner when married and have children. It will result in abnormal child.
The advantages, you are naturally protected against Malaria.
if you are not a regular, being an occifer only drags out your reservist...
so.. for dragging out your reservist, you want to risk dying?
your choice...
glory is fleeting and an illusion.. your life and your family is real
