Debate: Co-relation of Low Birth Rate & National Servicemen?

Is it true that national service disciplined guys to have lower sex drive and irregular frequency of urine/sperm output?
If that is true, then national service may be indirectly responsible for the low birth rate among Singaporeans.

when did they ever do that? if you are referring to how NS is a mostly male organisation, then you would have to say the attractiveness of Engineering courses in Singapore are also indirectly responsible for the low birth rates.

For example, the frequencies of couples breaking up during the duration of NS, unable to urine as and when your bladder requires you to do so and etc injuries.....
Maybe relationships breaking up during NS might somehow have some impact on their mindset towards forming any relationships in their future.

I don't think so lah, more likely due to the high living standard also more young couples like the peaceful quiet world more than taking care of a baby.

Many parents worry and fear for their childern grow up in spore and earn a living in sproe. They worry and fear that their chldren might suffer due to ever increasing cost.
They fear / worry that when they grow up and working, they might not be able to save enough for their retirement or might have no money to buy hdb houses. Or even put married off as it is too expensive to think of it. Or even put off for having babies too.

1. If the girl breaks up with a guy just because the guy is doing NS, then she was never wife material to begin with.
A man going through NS is undergoing hardship of his own.
And a true woman stands by her man through thick and thin.
2. If you cannot hold in your urine just for a few minutes, then you really suck. Don't tell me you didn't at least try to do that during exams so that you won't waste precious time running to the toilet.
And don't talk about medical conditions - if you have a certified bladder problem, your commanders would have to grant you leeway at the risk of court-martial if they don't. No, seriously, if your commanders disregard your medical condition, and you get injured as a result, their backsides are all gonna get buttered.
3. What injuries? I've been a combat medic specialist for 2 1/2 years active and 5 years reservist, all in a frontline infantry unit, and I have yet to see groin injuries.
Unless you count the time I had to order the evacuation of a fella with gonorrhoea, that is....
....but then again, that was because he bonked a married woman behind her husband's back while out of camp....
Sigh. I'll leave it to the other mods to decide what to do with this thread.
