Hi what are the chances that I will be approved to sign up and study for the upcoming January ACCA given that I am 8-5 in a CSSCOM?
What I can say is that if you want to study part-time while doing full-time NS, it is to be done at your own leisure. In other words, you will get only tacit (unofficial) approval from your superiors to pursue your studies.
If your superiors order you to carry out some NS-related duties, you will be expected to drop everything to do so, even if it is at the cost of missing out on some important exam or something.
Bottom line is, you can try to study and to go for the exam. However, if you are suddenly forced to abandon your plans, you can't complain about it.
That includes for storeman?

true, but not before exhausting all means available. usually those ppl will be asked to apply LL for their exams 1st.

for your excuses can also kena other type of duty like ops clerk which will require you to stay in (for that day only)
i think for courses such as acca your superior might not be that willing to let you go as compared to retaking your A levels / diploma etc since acca is sort of like an additional course
some regulars esp wospecs are not studying/ lowly educated. they dont like the NSF to go study, sometimes, they will try all means to prevent them from going to study etc.
heck, i got a friend he ICT with me, and he got exams.. the regular also unwilling to grant him 2 hours off.... pls la... one man less for a few hours wont cause the nation to go under
watch out. some regulars are really very very selfish. plan your studies schedule carefully
Why should you study when others are in camp huh ?
You are a NSF which means national service fulltime
The title tells all. Its okay put studys first, DB later
