Hi guys,
I would be posted to Signal Institute for the January intake. The course would end around March, so that leaves me with around 3 months to serve as a signal operator. What are the units that I would most likely be posted to? Any ideas?
Because I'm PES B, I would probably be going for IC2 Signal Operator course.
Kind regards,
carddard
Which unit you will be posted to ==> seriously, not up to any of us. It can range anywhere from an SIR unit to an airbase.
Just accept your posting and ORD peacefully.
Everywhere also got signaller, even the CO PA, also a signaller.
Most likely to replace someone who just down pes or revocate liao.
Hi guys,
Thank you for your replies.
I understand that it is not up to me to know the exact unit that I would be posted to, which is why I hoped perhaps someone might know the possible ones I might be posted to.
So with 3 months left, the posting is not affected, compared to someone with 1 year left?
Kind regards,
carddard

There is absolutely no reason why your remaining length of service would affect your posting, except that you would have a near-zero chance of being posted overseas.
In the end, as everyone here has said, no one here knows where you will be posted to.
So really, you can forget about speculating.
they planning for ur reservist role lor....

Hi fudgester,
Thank you for replying again.
You mentioned that there is absolutely no reason why the remaining length of service would affect posting. Length of service does affect one's posting, as a matter of fact. I have confirmed with HR over at my side and I have a friend whose posting was changed from Military Police to Supply Assistant because of his short length of service. I believe you understand that there is no way I can forget about speculating for as long as it takes to get my posting. It is my posting after all. =)
Thanks again.
Kind regards,
carddard

Okay, then. Your friend should have still told you that there are still many units that can accept signal operators with short remaining service, and he can't tell you exactly what those units are.
All I'm saying is, enough with the speculation already. No matter where you go, you're going to be a signal operator for some unit.
It's just three months. Just wait for your posting and accept it, for goodness' sake.... will speculation somehow affect your posting?
