Promotion in Reservist ICT: End AAR Performance Appraisal?

Hi. May I know about promotion in reservist? Eg like specific criteria and benefits. Do you get paid in reservist? Cos one of my teachers is going to be promoted from LTA to CPT in reservist and assume some OC appointment. Is it true that only those who work for the govt get promoted in reservist? Just curious.

During NSF period, if the LTA went for OC course then reservist will become OC. Pay i dunno.

you think those nsmen really still care bout their ranks during reservist meh.. LTA to Cpt maybe the first day will feel shiok wear 3 bars, but those specialists and below doubt they give a damn.

I duno that's why I asked... Cos I thought there were benefits like higher pay etc.

there are some extra cash. But most people would prefer not being called up at all, and best to be involved in ZERO extra affairs at all. because, WORK does not disappear when you go for Reservist, they will just pile up for you to clear when you come back.

Between higher pay, and less commitments with the nation, I choose the latter.

Higher Pay? If u are employed, u dun get extra pay regardless you drawing mens pay 500 or officer pay1500. coz at the end of the day you will only get ur basic pay @ ur company

yea, i thought reservists personnel don't get any extra allowances, only their regular salary that they normally draw from the company.

It's yes and no..Yes, as the NS allowance increase as your rank goes up and your company will top up the remaining to your usual pay.....so in another word, if your get promoted in NS, your company save money.....
