Huh? but the title is on poly grad mah.
If you are A level there is a Dec/Jan and Mar/April batch.
If you are the O level, ITE, or N level then it will take 2 months or even up to 1 years depending on Pes status for them to recruit you. You have to wait for the current mono to ORD first then you will get enlisted.
Generally, polytechnics ends their final year papers in Feb. So usually will enlist in June or September that year.
BUT, as usual, the SAF is a prata flipper and loves using the words "depends" and "varies".
Its not uncommon to hear of people who wait up to a year or more for their invitation letters

If you are not a poly grad, then why is your thread title 'Poly graduates!!!!' then?
Oh, and really, 'vary from person to person' is the only real answer anyone in here can give you.
one month to 15 years.
the 15 years was a guy who changed his address, and somehow mindef forgot about him until he apply for passport 15 years later.

i did it on march 30/31
i am 17 this year...birthday on july 14=18
so how long before enlisting?
btw i want to know poly grad waiting time vs my waiting time (if u know what i trying to do.)
so i guess going ns will be the best..or my waiting time (while retaking o level) will be for nothing.

Like everyone else here has said: vary from person to person.
Poly grad's waiting time has no impact on yours, and vice versa. Even among poly grads, the waiting time can vary from one month to almost two years (I know one poly fella on that extreme end of the scale).
Fair enough answer?

most likely not. It is under the Singapore act that you have to go for enlistment. BUT it is the government who called you for NS. So the government finds you, not the other way round.
In some years, (like dragon years ) they are too many people, so the camp are too small to keep all the guys for that years. So some people will have to be delayed.
