May I ask what PES will enlistees with asthma (not that serious but with shortness of breath at times) get when entering national service?
Could those with similar experience kind enough to share?
Thank you very much.

usually is pes A or B. unless you have severe asthma, like asthma attack when walking to the canteen.
Oh during CMPB you need to inform the MO on your last attack and also the medication you are taking.
most of asthma cases are Pes B...unless u are very serious and need specialist to write memo/letter.
Just to share, my friend got asthma, he went for the further checkup, in the end still Pes B. Unless yours is really serious case or you really chao keng, its pes B
it is rather dubious
my close friend has asthma but the last attack was when he was young... so he got pes B
but when i was in tekong undergoing pes C9 BMT, alot of my bunk mates got C9 coz of asthma, but they dont look like they are going to get hit anytime soon... all of them are damn fit..., a MJC soccer vice captain was one of them LOL
I know TS want to keng right. if you want to keng, pls go obtain a memo from your specialist.
asthma usually will not get far...most will obtain PES B or at most PES C1.....still go through like the rest...
I think this is not the 1st time I said this on the forum, don't keng using, migraine, flat feet, asthma and CMP, all these cases will only get Pes B.
There is many type of asthmas, depending on which type it is,
Most people have childhood asthma, which is very common. usually will get better or will never occurs when they have grown up.
Some people have adult asthma, which is rare, will get attack one in a while at adult age.
Some people is allergic triggered, so as long as it is not smoke or smelly, he is ok.
So it depends.
Thank you friends for your advice.
My case is not that serious asthmas, occasional attacks but with frequent breathlessness. Some chest pain at times and the lung function test shows some abnormalities. The test results is just below passing (the lung function test)
Thank you once again. Looking for your advice,
Asthma is PES B (Now should be called B1L1).
Unless you have a recent attack in the last 5 years like that. You can try getting a specialist letter to support your claim.
Asthma is confirmed PES B. PES A definitely out.
Declare your other illnesses.... Nowadays this unhealthy city.. all the air pollution... asthma is nothing lah.... i believe 50% of NSFs here have childhood asthma....

If you have occasional attacks but with frequent breathlessness AT YOUR AGE NOW, I think that is considered severe.
Do you know what is your trigger?
Get your specialist to write the supporting document before you go CMPB screening.
I agree with lokey, go ask for memo first. And those cmpb further review really waste time, i remember some even fainted while running the threadmill..
When I was kid, I had asthma, but I got PES A.

As for me , during my 1st check up on 18 March , i had sort of a shortness of breath , when i hand my doctor letter to the MCC , he arranged me to go for spirometry test , when the test results out , the MCC says my asthma wasn't well controlled , so he asked me to go back to my family doctor for medication & i was called back for spirometry test , my doctor also have to write a memo back to MCC , then on my 2nd trip to CMPB , the other MCC said i'll ba downgraded , so i wonder wad pes will i get???
