we all know the youngest BG in singapore history is BG (ret) lee hsien loong, who made 1-star at 32. questions as to his abilities aside, this was at a time when SAF was not mature and people need to be fast-tracked to make up the leadership. may never happen again.
any idea who's the youngest MAJ/LTC/COL/BG currently?
Got, Chief of Navy, RADM(NS) Chew Mun Leong, currently 39

current chief of navy still RADM(NS)?
haha. meaning understood la. maybe singapore too many minister generals using (NS) so you used to it.
2-stars at 39... anyone lower?
btw moderator, my topic changed to 'youngest senior officer' doesn't reflect the meaning leh. it's for spotting high-flyers. by your new definition, it'll be the latest birthday 2LT who's probably 18 or 17... which defeats the purpose.

Current CNV is still serving. You shouldn't be using RADM (NS). (NS) should only be used only AFTER someone who still have not reach his statutory age of retirement leave the service. (RET) only after they have past their statutory age. For existing regulars or NSF, don't have to put (NS)

I also would like to know the rationale behind the moderators constantly changing of topic title. Someone please enlighten.

ya, not as if my initial topic was vague or offensive.
even with this "scholar vs farmer" added still does not reflect my initial question: who's the youngest MAJ/LTC/COL/BG currently? cos that person, though unlikely, need not be a scholar.

Not only yours, they practically change EVERY single thread title. Don't really know what's the reason. They think that their english is better so help us rephrase our qns?
