Hey,
I just started work at my new camp (fresh out of BMT) as a clerk and I have been told that I am earmarked for an overseas posting that could be as long as 9 months or 1 year. I don't know where I'm going yet (my superiors have no idea either) but I've been told that I'm supposed to learn the ropes of being a clerk for a few months before going overseas.
I really really don't want to go and my parents are also against it. I am in PES C9 and need to see my doctor very regularly (like at least once a month) to manage my condition and modify my medication. I am told that I need to go for an FFI - would it be significant in determining whether I go or not? What should I do?
Is there anyone else who has been in this situation before? Or anyone who knows someone whose been in this situation before. The little I've read on other forums about this suggests that if you really really don't want to go there may be options for you? Any help would be very very appreciated. I am a bit desperate right now.
Thanks.
You can ask the MO to unfit you to your FFI. But overseas posting is good got extra income.
Just fail your FFI. Go fail till damn jia lat jia lat
are u going to germany???
i didn't know these days they post someone overseas straight out from BMT?
how does one "fail FFI" ?
anyway, they could be pranking you just like the guys from long ago pranked the new guy into thinking he was slated for a damned siong course which would last 5 months

It is possible provided the Unit ask the MO to fail FFI.

then the MO has failed in his duties and there would be grounds to strike him off the register...
it's a test to check on the medical status of the soldier.. not something that the unit can decree

well it does happen when there's a 'decree' over medical matters.
Even medical letters from NSFs own specialist are treated w/ suspicion vs referral by MO themselves.
It's MINDEF/ SAF after all.

just tell your chief clerk/S1 when they ask U...I havent heard of any unit that just simply dumps people for overseas posting...usually they will ask for consent....if not complaints start to come in...they have to clear the mess...might as well get someone willing to go...army everything dun have...manpower a lot.
and worst case...just get your doctor to write a letter lor...
NSF posting overseas good. good allowances somemore i am sure more than staying locally at sg camp. but wonder why so long 9 mnths? usually regular sign on soldiers posted overseas . . oh well. if taiwan good.
think army look up on ts
thats why assign him such a post?
that time i wanted
also dun have le
just his time and his luck lor. this kind of thing dont happen often. but got pro and con. if kena ulu camp in temberong jungle then you save a lot of money but no life.
overseas postings to training bases are usually for service side chaps, the mechanics and technicians, logs, medics, finance and admin trained specs.
you'll earn a lot more money and experience another culture.
however, as an NSF, if you don't want to go, they won't force you to. Just ask your S1 to sound out to CMPB and they'll arrow someone much more willing to go.
I heard L9 cannot be overseas deployment.
U c9L wad? L1 L2 L3 L9
U wan fail FFI tell MO u need medical appointment frequently cannot go overseas. Tell him ur medical condition too.
Wads ur medical condition?
U need a detailed specialist memo to fail the FFI. How frequent ur medical appointment. wads ur medical condition?
My unit gt ppl fail overseas deployment FFI. Reason being he got to see counsuellor in CMPB. He gt mental illness. Also gt go MMI to see shrink.
I gt a frenz 2 years NS alway fail his BMT recourse FFI. HE OOC from PES C9 BMT. He always fail his BMT FFI. He gt skin illness. PES C9L9.
MO said ur condition cant be PES E not serious enough but u are unfit from ur BMT recourse.
He ORD that time still havent go back BMT recourse. End up 2 years as a recruit.
He always complain that Y MO dun give him PES E. His skin specialist told the CMPB MO before his enlistment in a letter that this patient is unfit for any forms of BMT.
But he really always fail his BMT recourse FFI.

This is the MO's fault, the MO should refer him to a specialist board to settle this problem once and for all.
Can fail FFI what.. the checklist got some is medical conditions etc..

but he downgraded to C9L9 wad else can medical baord do for him. Excuse BMT recourse permanent?
Or down pes him to PES E?
Funny thing is if his skin condition excuse him for all BMT recourse for 2 years should not he be PES E?

I think they wanna to let him try but since he's OOC from BMT, the MO should refer him to a specialist board if they cannot decide whether they wanna to downgrade him to E or not. Furthermore he not fit to go back to BMT.
