which NSman doesn't know about make up pay claims ? ... and what kind of reservist you go through that needs you to go back for two months a year ? low key, 7 days, high key, 20 plus days ..... but yours, each time, two months ??!?!?!?! ......
and who say you cannot work overseas ? thousands leave every year after their full time NS for studies and work overseas, no ? Just get an exit permit, which is automatically granted.
you are really a young chap waiting to go into tekong, aren't you ?
2 months possible. Thats the maximum for a year's call up if I am not wrong.

You tell me which employer.
my past employment all have no porblem with my disappearance. maximum one working year only 1 month lah. 2 months you must be super on during NS and reservist to be called up. you mean all the interviews people gave you this remarks arh> then you must be having some tough luck.

so how many two months ICT have you been called up for ?
Originally posted by Junyang700:2 months possible. Thats the maximum for a year's call up if I am not wrong.
For the last time..... the maximum is 40 days. 40 days != 2 months.
And seriously, how many people here have gotten called up for a full 40 days in a single year? Okay, a few super sway people have, but that is the exception and not the rule.

i din;t know sgd$5,ooo a month is a big offer! all right i agree with you. that a pns camera with smaller sensor can produce photo quality equals to a full frame or apsc sized dslr
why your people play tennis photos all got a blue cast one? did you forget about getting the white balance right in the first place?

Well, just shows what a two-bit player you are if you can't even get such a small offer, doesn't it, boo boo?
Now why don't you run along and play with your little thing, and leave the grown-ups to talk?

Yuh huh.
First you talk like you're such a big-timer and then screw yourself by admitting that your benchmark of 5 grand is pissant, and now you're calling my gear professional?
You really do need to get out more and find out about the world, little one. The littleness of the things that impress you really is embarrassing.

Oh me, oh my. Did you go back and add that colour-cast gem to your old posts?
Anyway, I'll leave it to green-square shooters like you to press "Auto Colour" on the drop-down menu so you can slavishly claim that you have your colour-balance right. I guess your photography's so pitiful that you need to grasp at straws like that to feel adequate. Maybe one day you'll progress to P and have a graduation ceremony while you're at it.

your setup
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v229/Gedanken/5D50D.jpg
your 50D aside take your 5D. Its just one notch below the ID series. And if you don't know people who swear by canon know the 1d series as professional grade of equipment. Your 50D is in the middle of the hierarchy. the xxxD series are considered entry levels.
your lenses 24-70 and the white painted telephoto zoom (we all know from the color) are all 'L' grade lenses, not to mentioned they all have constant f2.8 aperture, a settign n that defines them as fast lenses.
so if you do not whore professinal grade equipment then what?
that said your photos
http://www.sgforums.com/forums/3078/topics/345537
really got some very serious white balance control problem just to name one.
boy this type of photo sno need your pro or semi-pro grade equipment can be shot lah.
SAF is still reasonable to go overseas provided u have the necessary justification and documents...
but as part of your responsibility to serve NS....many have thought of using it as a means to escape via work means...so when u r back...u still have to make up for the lost duty .....to be fair to all who has honestly and diligently serve their term for the motherland....
it aint so difficult....afterall....when the enemy raped your country beings.....yr family is at stake....who cares but us?
we may dislike the ruling party....but never take peace for granted....its still our motherland

Ooooh, honeychile, you really are a seventh-dan suaku.
First and foremost, it's obvious you hang with the cheap P&S crowd - how amateurish are you to consider a 50D and a 5D as professional? Hell, I've got hobbyist friends who carry a couple of 1Ds bodies with them when they go out, and nobody bats an eyelid, much less get as excited about it as you do here. You really do need to grow up.
Second, wow, you know what a white lens is - you want a medal for that or something? If I was really going to go pro, I'd be using a stack of primes with nothing below f/1.8, but by by wetting yourself over something as common as the 24-70 and 70-200, you're just showing how pathetically little you know.
Third, like I said before, it's just painfully pitiful that you would make a court case out of white balance. Why don't you write to NatGeo, or email Magnum to complain that their photographers don't have the correct white balance? Do you have any inkling of how stupid you sound?
Okay, I'll cut you some slack. You get excited by five grand a month, so I suppose spotting anything with a red band would have you ruining your underwear immediately. You really are one of the little people.
Said it before, say it again: run along and let the grown-ups talk.

Here's the irony - I got back and immediately notified the SAF of my return, and never heard from them about reservist. Go figure.
Addendum: come to think of it, I never heard back from the SAF about anything.
the NS obligation starts the following year's cycle of one's return ged, both IPPT and ICT.
I only heard from the SAF one full year after my return ......
and one certainly won't be called to return home from overseas in the middle of work or studies for ICT, as some dicks here seem to imagine ......

18 months and not a word. Given I'd been out of action for eight years I figured they'd reassign me to Guards or Infantry, but nope, nary a word. Maybe they did finally have enough of my smartarse attitude after all.
In any case, I'm the one who paid the price for it. My company gets together every December, and it's always a reminder of how out of shape I've gotten.

Not me Canon is the one to grade them as professional. why wiht money can buy anything. That's with money. That does not mean you have money always. but with enough money, you can make any purchases. anyone with money 'enough; to pay for any purchases of photographic equipment can buy 'professional grade' of lenses and bodies. but it does not make them professional. "l" is the grading canon give for their higher end lenses. painted white for professional because it will not conduct as much heat as black painted body, a thought for peopl who uses the lenses under hot sun (e.g soccer matches, or tennis matches).
oh and your photos i lied. its not white balance problem. under bright sun will cast bright reflective light off any surface. either the floor is all blue of the surrounding enclosure all all bright blue. your photos were taken under bight sunlight thus the blue cast. that's why post processing and color correction filters comes in. why i left a point for you to correct me you never? you have been pressing shutter with a brain switched off. just like making a silly post in this thread. its not white balance lah
