Hi everyone..
I am currently in my 7th month of national service. I have been losing sleep and often feeling moody regardless of inside camp or outside for the past 2 months due to some problems. I would like to seek help from outside clinics/psychiatrist as i do not want my buddies to think that i chao-keng but i do not know how to go about it.
Can someone intro me a clinic/psychiatrist to go to? and how much is the consultation fee?
thanks to all.

If you wanna see the SAF psy...you need to see the MO...
I think you are not alone. you are not well adjusted to the life in Army I suppose. once you are well adjusted, you have no problems whatsoever. I had this problem too, but one year later, no problem at all.

if you need help, go and report sick, see MO. Please dont end up stealing rifles, stabbing your buddies and throwing a grenade at yourself. Dangerous guy. Do u think a person who do not sleep for several days can think straight.
Dr Tan Soo Teng (psychiatrist)

u can call the clinic to check consultation fees
the root cause is personal problems bugging you rather than NS... its good to let and share with your officer in charge so that he could take your case in consideration genuinely...
life in NS now is so much better than mine or my predecessors time...it is so much milder with great food served by outside caterers and no one dares to tekan outright as before....
haiz....during my NS time....we kena F for no rhyme and reason....queue up on public phone than use mobile now...no chance even to express to anyone while everyone is on coins and 3 minute bar from the public phone
TS is so stupid. When he is in ns, he can go to any govt hospital to see any psychiatrist for free. He not only can get mc but can get free medicines and get to see chio bu doctor and nurses too

Free no doubt but if he were to consult one, they may try to cover everything up. They might not take his condition seriously. They might think he is trying to malinger

No lah. I went to govt hospital to see psychiatrist when I was in ns before too.
After I call the appointment hotline they book a appointment for me 2 weeks later. I only wait 2 weeks.
To louis888: Not true too. The hospital psychiatrist took me seriously when I go to see her. When I refused to take the medicine that she prescribe me she even wrote to my camp MO to inform him that I do not want to take medicine and ask the camp MO to refer me to see a SAF psychiatrist as if it is compulsory for me to eat the prescribed medicines by the SAF psychiatrist if not they can charge me for refusing medical treatment
