  Just curious, enlisting tomorrow to BMTC school 2. Was wondering do I surrender stuff such as ciggy, before enlistment ceremony or after?

  ur sergeants will come and ask one la.. a recruit life is simple, dont need to think, dont need to ask.. just do as you're told.

  they wont ask u surrender ciggy.. at least during my time.

   

  surrendering of items are only for illegal items, such as camera etc i believe. unless ur ciggy are not duty paid la.

  Cos my friend told me (went in one week earlier) they will confiscate from you and return you only during spefic time. My dad knows I smoke, but my mom doesn't and I never intend to let her know. So my concern is when to give up those ciggys. Is it before enlistment ceremony or after. Hahaha. Pardon my ignorance.

  for smokers its tougher to quit during NS due to the conditions, physical training and social pressure. when you ORD you should make it a point to quit.

  i still rmb during NS our ciggy packs are being nicely packed into a zip lock bag and give to sgt one...after breakfast/lunch/dinner/RO '' smokers fall in!!"
