Anyone know where can dig information regarding SAF's evolution of their HR practices thru out the years?
Like how & where SAF recruit and select their men, sergeants and officers. The 1G to 3G transmformation everything.
SAF history......the only major battle SAF participated in resulted in 8 of them being shot to death and having their penises cut and shafted into their mouths....
Details of the incident are here :

SAF doesnt even release their exact HR practices even now.
The selection for commanders are quite classified and is maintained by the SAF's Applied Behavioral Sciences Department which falls under MINDEF i believe. They are the masters of the mysterious Mapas test and all.
No, im not talking about the battles saf fought in the past or how they select their commanders.
Sry I din make myself clear, Im trying to find out who are the soldiers during those days and their commanders. I heard somewhere that in the early years SAF have foreigners as men and british commanders. I like to know more about these. =)
And also, how they train/develop their men in the past.

since they were still under malaysian-spore union,it should not be even considered as a SAF battle with dead men and balls in mouth.
however from the above story.....i found out some flaws in operations regarding combat effectiveness:
1)why was there no radio comms for average troops?
2)why did they all spread out with no line of support?
3)assuming they didnt all go for a swim but were wiped out at midnight by enemy commandoes...still they were too few soldiers for a mere platoon!
4)why on earth did they go out with 8 men against enemy paratroopers.
5)if the 8 men who were killed were elite troopers .............i would wonder if they haqd pissed off the paratroopers on enemy side to cut off their balls?
6)assuming they were 8 elite troops against enemy paratroopers......then what??
7)and why werent there dogs used to track those paratroopers down?
their military ops just dont make sense and at a glance it looks more like a big mistake from the start of the mission.

That is why we cannot compare our grandfather's army with the modern SAF today in terms of training and equipment but in terms of balls then maybe same same
