Sign On: Sergeant Specialist: Worth It, Wise?

  Let me ask my last question here, before I consider whether to give my soul and body to RSAF.
  
  Can a non-technical (or non-engineering) diploma holder joins ADSS, which technical background is required?
  
  can a person still qualified if he didn't pass his IPPT
  (I'll be happy if you can tell me what  will happens if a sgt failed his IPPT in ADSS)

  apart for the ippt, it's just a regular job...it will count as experience when you ord...don't have to see it as soul selling, my nephew passed his 6 yrs very quickly, got his degree in that time and works out of saf now...

  schi_zo in RSAF ADSS???

  I already completed my NS as armor already, after poly, i find my "engineering informatics" is not my cup of tea. it's programmer course. So I was considering RSAF (cause all regulars)

  anyone have any more specified experiences inside, after ADSS???

  I will strongly discouraged you to sign on. During my NS days I have seem too many "Specialist" just like to boss you around, doing normal routine things that even primary school student can do and worse part is those "extreme one" who cannot stand the 6 years working finally decided to "play prank" like taking MC (if they can be approve ) or even AWOL and mind you, if you got discharged, this will just create an strain in your after life career.

  If you want to gain experience and explore different area, I would recommend you can start with DSTA , they usually accepted diploma holders and compared to 6 years contract , you still have more freedom to choose your career.   if you are seriously considering signing on to have a career in the army, either you sign on as an officer or not at all.

  I see that you cannot pass your ippt at all, which means you are not a very 'garang' person and this is the determining factor for promotion.

  Just think after army come out what you gonna do? drive taxi? property agent? no skills no specialisation, just a regular in the RSAF who want to hire you?

  If you signing on for furthering your studies(loan/scholarship for studies) i say go ahead, but i doubt so you are...

  If you really want to ruin your life/career, carry on, sign on as a specialist.

  if u got problem clearing IPPT i don't think signing on is such a great idea.

  how about senior tech, any requirement before and after entering? (electronic skill example)

  As long as u Pes A and B u are required to take IPPT annually regardless of vocation.

  although I pes B, but still can't pass IPPT and got no mech, elec skill.

  then, that defeat the purpose to signing-on...

  non-uniformed same as outside wat.

  my hands remember the rifle, that's why I'm coming back...

  anyone any experiences for ADSS, Senior Tech?

  cause i heard adss must go 3 interview, the third one that guy got rejected because ippt problem...
