A HIGH-RANKING army officer has been brought before a tribunal for alleged misconduct under military law.
His alleged offence is believed to involve a female subordinate, although the exact nature of what happened is unknown for now.
Lieutenant-Colonel Frederick Teo Li-Wei, 33, a deputy director in the Defence Ministry's defence policy office, appeared before a subordinate military court at the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Court Martial Centre in Choa Chu Kang Way yesterday.

You know of him, many people do. He is legendary for being absolutely brilliant and a super high flier, and got his LTC at 31 years old, the fastest SAFOS and AO riser seen in the SAF for some time. So yeah, you know OF him and is one of the thousands who worship him from afar. Nothing to do with whether he's innocent or otherwise, but four words: big loss of SAF.
In the SAF, the only high fliers are people who get the choicest picks in staff tours and command tours (the high fliers are generally better at one than the other, though there are a rarer breed who excel in both) and do not do instructor tours at all. I'm amused to know that there're still people (clearly non officers or farmers or both) stuck in the woods who still dream that being parked as BMTC or SAFTI commander is a good sign for career.
