Voluntary Early Enlist Scheme (VEES) ?

  Hi .

  I just finished my O's /

  thinking of doing NS first then going Overseas to study,

  anyone who's done this? NS at the age of 16.5/17?

  I want to know what your experience was like and whether u regretted it later?

  Unless you cannot persue a further education, there should be no reason why you want early enlistment since you will be treated like shit in the army and have no chance of command school and slow promotions.

  I had a friend in NS who enlisted at 17.  Served two years and later went to poly.

  My friend who enlisted at 17 said that most of the guys he trained with were older than him so they treated him as a kid brother. Nothing special though.

  There are quite a number of cases where these early enlist boys get bullied by the other guys. It depends alot on the people around you as well as your own social skills.
