Recently, i went for a checkup, and the MO said he gave me a chance not to do (NS) it came as a shock, so i needed time to think through it, will the MO change his mind within the 3 months? he said he give me 3 months to think through it
What is your medical problem that results in the MO giving you such a choice?
Most will obviously take up the offer not to do NS etc but do note that it might affect your chance of getting into the public sector IF you have any plans of it in the 1st place.

Since we do not know your condition, we will be unable to tell whether it will change in 3 months time to affect the MO's decision but generally he should keep his word unless you happen to see a different MO the next time who has a different decision.

Somehow i don't think getting PES F is something worth being proud of since there will always be people talking about why you will be given that PES.

He gave me a chance, seeing i was an invalid
'invalid' as in cant handle arms etc
oh, and i am not a PES F holder, just to let you knowOriginally posted by One Harmonius Blend:He gave me a chance, seeing i was an invalid

I have friends who were excused firearms PES E so that should not be valid for a PES F.
Not to do NS means getting a PES F.

Eh? why PES E can be excused from firearms?
PES E can handle firearms but excused from firing them.

Excuse firearms means you can't be a combatant anymore and he had some UL injuries which resulted in the PES E.
He was PES E and excused firearms not PES E because he was excuse firearms.

Can't handle arms is not the same as not doing NS.
If you can't handle weapons but you're otherwise healthy they will give you a PES E status and may assign you to a desk job.
In other words, you will still be doing NS.

oh i see
what about mental-related conditions? Will they allow you to handle arms?
Since that is so, i'm locking this thread as i forsee alot of lame posts coming from people commenting on a PES F status.

i asked about that (clerical jobs) before, but he said whats the use of NS if you can't handle arms?
(up to you then)

Usually no so people with mental problems are given PES E clerk/storeman and excuse arms to prevent suicide and them using the rifle to harm others.
seriously, what's so paiseh about being in the lower pes?

Even as a clerk, there are skills to learn which could be useful should you ever work in an office environment.
I dare say all the enlistees going medical checkup during this period would have loved to go see such an MO that is willing to give PES F so easily so they can chao keng NS...

Yes, no doubt, but whats the point of it (if you can't handle arms, and it's fun to handle arms my friends told me before), might as well go work better
chao keng NS i believe not everyone is lucky as me though

Not really, rules are always being broken in Army.

Some break, can heckcare, but i think they are very strict when it comes to arms though
Whats so fun about handling arms? I prefer mine locked up at the guardroom whenever i'm on duty and all i do with it is draw out before guard duty and sent it back at the end of it letting it slp on the guards rack for 12-24hrs. Handling the rifle is just giving yourself morereasons to get extras only.
Many rules are often broken but for people with severe depression, suicide tendencies and such, they will usually be excuse guard duty, excuse firearms etc to prevent any 'accidents' since a suicide in camp will be hard to coverup. I've known quite a few such cases already of people getting such excuses.

arms comes with responsibility, and to some it may seem fun, but i think they knew what comes with it
