If u get C1 which is now classified as B2, u still can be combat medic. Anyway svc medic also have to deal with needles.....btw why so afraid of needles ok one lah.....no problem the more u handle it the less frieghten u be.
I think the people receiving the injection from you are more scared than of you handling the needle. Anyway ya...I heard during the medic course the people practise by poking their partners. Dunno how true la but thats wad i heard.
yup u nid to poke 10 times ur buddy as thus u urself haf to get poked 10 times also. may not be doing in clean environment. there will be field IV and night IV too. any signs of fear of needles may be deemed as immediate OOC.
yes, we practised doing live IV on each other, every week once.
Dun worry, the course itself isnt too phyically demanding, you will learn a lot of paramedic stuff.
yes, if u are wondering, i just graduated from the combat medic course nt too long ago =)
But medic life in unit like quite boring leh. When I in outfield having fun chiong sua...they like very bored sitting one corner reading a book or just blowing wind whole day.

Hi blade001,
If you are to OOC from the Medic Course itself, you will likely be posted somewhere else instead of becoming a Service Medic, unless you go for a recourse. However, I believe that it is unlikely that you will be OOC-ed if your injuries do not affect your training in the course. If you remained in the course and completed it, and your PES is lower than B2, then you will most likely be a Service Medic.
Cheers.
To TS, I know people declared that they are afraid of blood and needles when they go SMTI but they still go through everything and nothing happened.
