  It is a grow-up experience for the singapore guys as they are grown up in a pampered environment.

  You learn to make friends from different walks of life and exposed yourself to a challenging environment where you have to work as a team despite the different character.

  As for keeping you fit, you should visit bedok camp on one of the weekend to understand how fit the population is.

  Me not laughing at them as I am a platinum member myself.

  As for the reservist period, it is a time where you can let go your role as a employee and father and have fun with your buddies in the camp and bitched about life and events.

  The training is still tough for reservist and there are times you hated the shit out of being a singaporean and trapped in doing things you dun like.

  But, you get over it with a beer with your buddies at the end of the day.

  It is a unique experience that can hold a significant part and memories in all singaporean male.
