I've been asked for a Military Police interview and i'm highly interested. In my company, about 20 people have been called out to attend this interview.. How likely are my chances of getting in if i say 'yes i am interested'? Some sources say that i'll definitely get in if i say yes, other say its very difficult to get posted to MP..So which is it?
And do they accept colour-deficient personnels?
colour-deficient, yes. had a coursemate who couldn't differentiate blue and green. and it's all up to you on how you psyco the spec interviewing you to show you are interested. and btw, MP isn't really that fun, unless you manage to stay in the MP unit, since most of the time you would be posted to do permanent guard duty.

what criteria are they looking for? And what is the SPEC 2 course?
Do anyone of you know what are the things i should be expecting in the interview? Like the kinds of questions they'd be asking and such.
I like the MP post even more than OCS and SISPEC, so i'm a little nervous
The uniform is gross.
It's actually a very brief interview to find out how interested are you in being a MP.I believe ultimately it depends on CMPB whenther to post you to MP or not. You like to catch people red-handed issit?
SPEC 2 course is the MP course for SCTs when they pass out from SISPEC. Provost is the best thing you can hear after seeing your friends get posted to ASLC.

After interviews, its not CMPB who decides whether to post u to MP but whether MP wants you to be posted to them or not.

i think most of the MP will be
posted to POI unit/Reservist unit ba
POI unit for first 3 years pretty on de

Dip trench , go for range lar, unarmed combat lar
then u ready liao . sent u for POI duty
from super relax airport to jurong island etc
but hor as years go by , u getting older liao
they also know lar, then more relax
The last two year super switch off de
Sleep , eat , nights off , zzz again
till me put on weight
sob..
its sispec/ ocs having the priority, then to MP.. at the interview, you will be asked to fill in some forms and a brief interview with staff from MP training school.
if you are post to sispec, you may also be posted to MP after BSLC (or to other units).
typical external postings are mindef, 6SIR as POI
MP interview shiok haha.
command sch definitely takes priority. from my experience those who got MP interview in BMT are the lucky a$$holes who get MP spec posting after BSLC.
Share my personal experience. During the auditorium interview and need to fill up the form, I actually ticked ''not interested'' as I wanted to taste the infantry life as this is once in a life time experience(besides ICT). Haha. So when it was my turn to be interviewed, the guy sees my form, and because I ticked ''Not interested'' no more futher question. So I was amazed that after my BSLC graduation route march, rumours was flying around my platoon that I was posted to MP. I thought, cant be lar. But as it turns out, its not just a rumour. I was wondering, how the hell I was selected? LOL. And from my company, there were only 3 of us, with me and another guy from my platoon. Till now, im puzzled as how I ended up in MP. But shall not bring it up to my Sect Comm or anyone in MP Command as I have to admit, its a good life there. =P
wow.. your first post after 3.5 years..
pls dont kpkb tt MP is not good.. its a good vocation, but not that prestigious or unglamorous.. u compare your peers in infantry running around in the forest while you, a MP, drawing combat pay and having chalet life, is learning life and practical skills which will may useful to your life after ORD.
heck.. what u gonna learn in infantry that will be an asset to yourself? when u are going to POP and if you are posted within the camp, you will learn many practical skills.. if external units.. also not too bad la.. can be ""tua pek kong""
That's why, if u kenna selected u also cannot siam despite u may not be interested in the vocation.
Thats the misconception alot ppl have about MP. MP dont draw combat pay, but combat service pay. Not green beret mah..service beret. Haha. But the thing is, not all RP are combat fit but yet, RP draws combat pay which im not happy about. Not combat fit, but get combat pay. Basket. Its just that I want to experience military life and infantry is the best option for that. Running and hide and seek in jungle. You may argue running around in forest might not be a learning life and practical skills that may be useful in life after ORD, but its the hardship and bond you made with your buddies that is something that cannot be bought. But hey, different ppl different thinking. Im not complaining, Im just sharing my experience.
