I just go for a run + jog + walk for a distance of 2.4km after 2 yrs of inactive for Napfa 1 week ltr.
When i got home, after resting and sitting for awhile, i vomitted.
Can i know what caused this to happen?
Is there anyway to prevent this?

Even though you got a mixture of run + jog + walk, perhaps you have push yourself too hard as you have been inactive for quite a while. It will better for you to cut down the distance run first before doing a full 2.4km.
Then again, it could be that you forgotten that you have eaten something before you exercise.
I ate my lunch at 2pm.
After my lunch, i ate assorted nuts and drink peach tea.
I started the exercise at 6pm.
Could this be the cause?

I don't think so.
It is probably due to your inactiveness. Forget about this time round's NAPFA, and try starting slow jog + walk from 1km~1.5km again. It is not worth it damaging your body for the sake of NAPFA.
TS might like to post this on http://www.sgforums.com/forums/2215 instead.
Ok thanks for your advice. I was intending to go for PTP already. At least i get to be trained under a more professional instructor.

It would be best for you to get yourself abit of training before PTP since they do still expect a certain level of fitness and it will be tough if you are totally unfit and unable to match their required level of training.

Have you receive your letter yet? Since you say you have been inactive for the past 2 years, does that mean you are in your final year in poly?

His past posts have indicated hes a poly student and the enlistment letters for poly students should not have been sent out this early.
Yes. I am a final yr student in SP. SP doesnt encourage students to exercise unlike NP.
And yes, i will execise before my enlistment date.
Napfa in Dec, enlist around June for PTP.
And sry for posting in the wrong section.

NP only makes it complusory for all 1st yrs to take a sports module but not the other 4 polys which have the facilities but most of their students are just too lazy to use them. I won't say SP doesn't encourage exercise but more the students just do not bother to use the facilities available to them.
Enlistment might not be in June for poly students depending on how they are going to arrange the new enlistment dates since there is a new enlistment schedule starting this Dec.

Pray hard that your enlistment won't come so soon.
Even if you get the letter, you can still try to submit your NAPFA results if you manage to get a silver to CMPB to enter the enhance batch instead.
For RP, they should take NAPFA test for during Year 3 before going to NS. Different people taking different course has different NAPFA test date. So, it might be better to join sports IG before going NAPFA test so as to train your fitness.
Other than SHL, other courses like SAS, SEG etc do not require sports activities. Thus, you won't really know your physical strength unless you want to take part in any sports IG.
All 5 polys will conduct NAPFA for their final year students which will be submitted to SAF for their NAPFA results.
However this test is mostly optional if they never change the rules.
i also had the same case as well before, eat liao den hours ltr still vomit, i think u shld progress slower, dun eat too much also
Yes. But we were told that its compulsory for all males to go for napfa conducted in school. Though i am sure some will not attend.
Like dkcx said, there will be a change in enlistment date? Why is that so? Seems to me that MOST people who were born in 1990 always face this kinda 'major change problem'.
First it was the o'lvl chinese test paper structure.
Then change of CCA pts system after we are in 3rd yr.
And now this enlistment date.

SP now say complusory liao ah. My time i also don't remember they got say anot but i never go anyway :p If you failed the school 1, u can still take NAPFA at Toa Payyoh stadium if they are still conducting it there and just sent in ur results to CMPB so that you will not need to attend PTP.
However personally i prefer PTP to direct BMT cos its less rushed and pack compared to the direct BMT intake. Of cos some people prefer that 2 extra months of freedom.
There is a revamp of the PTP programme to be increased from 1 month to 2 months which is why enlistment dates were affected since its no longer 2/3 months but 2/4 months now.
I've also heard that the PES E BMT might be increased from 1wk to 1 month from a recent PES E enlistee but that is yet to be confirmed.
PES C is the only 1 i currently have no news of.
I see. Thanks for all these info.
Guess 2.4km . chin-up and maybe standing board jump is the thing i am going to fail

Don't worry, i also failed those 3 stations and after 2 yrs... I still fail.... :p
Lol. That does help me.

Haha, however some not so good news for u, I belong to the age where u will still promoted if u fail IPPT but now IPPT pass is a requirement for promotion :p
However its never an honour to go for RT and be 1 of the few 3SGs there during my NSF period...
Oh ok. Its ok. I have faith in our mindef to help me pass ippt during the EXTENED 2 mths PTP.

Haha its good to have faith but don't depend on SAF alone. Alot depends on the individual. 2.4 is sure to improve, i almost passed mine during BMT but....
Pullup training is okok but SBJ quite lacking so u'll have to train urself for that.
progressive training..
remb.. push yourself..but not to the extend u feel very uncomfortable.
u know your body best.
i always pass my stand board jump..but after 2 yrs i think cannot make it..haven really go try..
2.4km can be improve.
Pullup really have to depend on PTP.
