As above, is it possible to be posted out from SAF BMT to SPF's Insp course assuming I am eligible for OCS? Is there any way I can increase my chances of doing so? Thanks.

It is possible but the chances are very low for BMT posting to SCDF or SPF.
I don't believe you can do anything about it but if you really want to try something, just tell ur PC u want that though PC have very limited power in affecting posting in the 1st place.
yes i seen it happened
Like what dkcx said, the chances are very low. This is due to the fact that they have much lesser and smaller intakes for NSPI than for OCS.Not every batch of bmt recruits will have people selected for NSPI and if there is,only about 2 or 3 get selected from the entire cohort.Same goes for those who go for senior officer course in the SCDF after their BMT.
This is only MY own observation but I noticed that the few of my friends who got selected for NSPI,all of them were malays.Like I said, this is only my observation and should not be taken as concrete proof of how they select potential candidates.
Ah well, guess I just have to try my best then. I'm gunning for a SPF scholarship (hopefully) one of the requirements is to get into OCS by my own merit... And after all since both SAF OCS and SPF Insp are on the same level, then why not aim for SPF's to get a headstart...

I got 1 chinese friend who got to be a SPI so its not only malays who get chosen to go there from BMT. However because malays have more restrictions in SAF, it might be more likely they be sent to SPF and SCDF if they are officer material.
my platoon mate was chosen to go for NSPI after bmt.. but from what i know, the chances are very very slim, because they only choose 1 to 3 ppl out of the whole cohort.. so if you get chosen, you must be damn lucky.
4 of the ppl i knew of went from tekong to NSPI of the same BMT batch. lol.
i think it's pure luck to get that.
9 from my platoon in bmt got into NSPI...3 went to SCDF BOC...
wah so heng
