one of my friend just got charged 3 days in db for this offence. he was admitted in saf sick bay and was genuinely ill and requested mo to give him att c but they strongly won't because his officer told the mo not to give him. then one of his friend report sick and got 1 day att c and so he 'switched' with him to pay him $50 because he have something urgent. he booked out and ask the other guy to 'stand in' for him. he only did that because he knew the medic on duty that day and he promise to cover up for him. the guy who switch the status with him have sol of dunno how many days..
Switching around, ATT C replacing sick bay?
Of course that's a chargeable offence. SOL or RP is not at all unexpected.
You think this is guard duty ah?
SOL or RP..what is RP?
Last time there was a group of drivers and a transport spec kanna if not wrong 21 days SOL or was it 3-7days DB just because they were in a hurry to get back to camp and they move during the army no move time of 5-7pm.
Just because they drive the vehicle on the road during that time kanna such punishment, ur friend lied and by leaving camp is as good as AWOL, i would say punishment not harsh liao.

" he 'switched' with him"
beri cheem....:)
Anyway...if I understood correctly...if this friend of urs is so genuinely sick...why switch his status because..as U mentioned...something urgent?
I dunno about U....if I am that sick...I'll stay in bed and rest...not attend to "something urgent".
I think 3 days DB quite light already.

Restriction of Privileges.
3 days DB for the offender and SOL for his accomplice for this kind of offence is a reasonable sentence. The medic on duty can be charged too for knowingly abetting the offence.
Attend C is not transferable.
still get paid some more
that guy need to be fined and thrown inside a for a week for good measures unless he can find someone to switch again la
sick or just want to use the time to do something else.
3 days is too light a punishment. AWOL should ganna 21 days.
LOL
admitted in saf sick bay and was genuinely ill .....
so he 'switched' with him to pay him $50 because he have something urgent. he booked out and ask the other guy to 'stand in' for him ....
This is a joke, right ? ......
LOL wake up pls ts!
LOL its NS not goodie goodie secondary school shit

he deserved it.
Concur. First offence, falsely reporting sick - if the bugger was "genuinely ill", that "something urgent" could not be taken care of, so it's clearly a lie.
Buying other people's sick leave to get out of barracks, and obviously the PC/OC was onto him. AWOL.
Bwteeen the two, I'd expect that the bugger should be getting between 1 and 2 weeks' DB. Three days is a bargain.
By the way, the guy who sold his attend C also needs to be charged.
I think.. he sounds like chao geng... got something urgent can always tell the officers, whats more since stay in sick bay already should be in sick bay.. sick means cannot go out should rest.. same for get att C but never stay at home.. malingerie.. i think 3 days DB is already very good..
Everything is half price now even for a serious offence such as this.Your fraudulent friend should be cruxcified.....by the balls!

*likes this.
kids these days. haiz.
what was that 'urgent matter' anyway? if it was domestic in nature he could have simply tried to ask for time off.

Well, the TS said that the guy who sold his ATT C got SOL.
All in all, 3 days' DB for the main perp and SOL for his accomplice is not harsh at all, and is actually quite lenient. I would have thought that seven days in the brig would be more like it.
I just wonder about the duty medic.... if he really had known about this whole scheme (as the TS said) and tried to cover it up, then he counts as an accomplice too (albeit to an arguably lesser extent than the fella who sold his ATT C).
MC is not transferable, you think this is some guard duty? Any problem outside he should speak to the superior not do something like this. Seriously, the PC does not have the power to tell the MO what to do, if the MO think he really deserved the Att C he'll give. Obviously TS, your friend is not that sick. This is SAF, not some kinda of school. Imagine everyone pull such act in SAF....then there'll be a big mess in camp.
so he 'switched' with him to pay him $50 because he have something urgent. he booked out and ask the other guy to 'stand in' for him.
no wonder lei... go out work u can do this meh..
in army somemore...of cos kanna big time lah..
whats so urgent? ..if really that urgent. i believe they will let u go 1..if not they tio also.
To TS, I would like to heard your opinion on this?
from all the posts here, i think all of us here agreed that TS's friend got off lightly... a bargain indeed for the "crime" he committed.
very light . really.
let's appeal for a longer sentence? let's start a "lengthen the DB stay" campaign?
